  • How do you tell if you've met the requirements for 7%? Anyway to see the rate youre getting in the portal? Maybe I'm blind and am looking past it. Or is it just in your following statement?

Apologies if it's been clarified before, I tried to search

    • There is no indicator that you made the mark... you just have to count your debits, see the interest post, and stay enrolled in estatements.

The first month, unless it's been fixed with the conversion/move, you have to contact them to get the interest because there is an "estatement bug". The reps all know about it and it's a short convo. @guest_2115735

  • Quick question ... how long does it take to receive the debit card after opening a new Hi-Yield account? Just opened my 2nd Hi-Yield account on Aug 11, and was debating whether to fully fund it now, or wait til next month. If debit card takes much more than 2 weeks, then I would be highly unlikely to meet the 7% requirements for this month

Incidentally, I have not received the new debit card for my existing account opened in April.

  • Sorry to bother you, but I don't see any referral links that are newer than October 2024. Would likely try to get this bonus if there were newer referral links. (Perhaps it's time to open the referrals page for new links?)

    • Old referral links work, as long as the person's OnPath account is still open.

  • Opened out of state with referral, $1k fund over the phone day after applying. Chase aero

  • Can't seem to get the debit card to link to Cash App for like three days in a row now. It might be velocity limits cause I had linked a couple different cards recently, but sheesh.

    Anyone else have this problem?

    • You can have 2 Cash App accounts. Use email for one and phone number for two. Just don't link the same card or bank to both accounts at the same time.

And you're right, it's probably velocity limits. 1 of my cash apps has that error now. It will probably clear up in a few days or a week *without* any more attempted card adds.

I have the same issues with Venmo, Chime, and Current. OnePay has been the best. Links multiple cards and has $1000/month limit so it can handle 5 $200 cash back account transactions.

Paypal savings reloads would be even better. But I'm banned (they didn't like my fake business account)😭.

      • @guest_2108574,

FYI, I didn't see this comment until now. This must be the comment where you got the idea to open 2 Cash App accounts from.

For the past several days, I've only viewed the "New Reply" emails to me so that's why I didn't see it until now. There are much less of those so when I am in a crunch for time, I view those only. 😉

        • I think I upset Jack assuming he's a brother, not sure what to think of that. Oops

          • It's ok. I'm glad that I didn't offend you with a Jack Reacher quote, "you don't look like a Jimmy" @guest_2108574

          • Lol the avatar is not actually me, so there's a chance I might actually look like a Jimmy. I don't really look like Prince though 😂 @guest_1935995

          • I’d like to add that my avatar is not actually me either, in case anyone was wondering… I don’t really look like a cartoon pickle…

          • 🤣🤣🤣🤣This revelation sets me back a little, I really thought I'd been exchanging bank bonus tips with with a cartoon pickle named Rick. It's going to be okay, I can get through this.

        • I just noticed Tom said he went high risk and opened a 3rd account. I wonder if that's in addition to his business account and two others, lol.

          • @guest_2108574,

Based on some of his previous comments, that does not surprise me at all. He may very well be on the other end of the "risk-averse" scale that @guest_1935995 and I am on. You are probably somewhere in the middle. 😉

      • @guest_1931235 Just wondering, how long have you had 2 cash app accounts for? Reports are coming in that people get shut down for this.

        • Years. Just don't link the same debit card to both or the same bank to both at the same time. I wouldn't try sending money between them either. Try not to swap debit cards too quick, too often. And supposedly I have heard they don't like you to deposit money and quickly withdraw it, but I have nearly every month. I even went high risk a few days ago and opened a 3rd with a different email.

I believe they say you're allowed 2 accounts, one personal and one business

          • Cool, thanks. Sounds like the part you said about not linking the same cards or accounts is key.

I'm assuming you wouldn't be able to have two personal accounts verified at once either.

          • What does "verified" mean in this case? What features aren't you able to use if the Cash App account is left "unverified"?

          • Verified in Cash App means that you scan your photo ID. So that they know that you ain't a bot or up to no good @guest_1980657

          • I don't recall scanning my license but I'm not sure. Where on the app can I check if I am "verified" or not?

          • You can click the top right circle and see your profile, then Account & Settings -> Personal Information to see if you're verified. @guest_1980657

          • @guest_1935995,

I followed the steps and saw the "Identify verification" section. It shows "Continue" and I didn't click on it. That implies that I am not verified, correct? What does it show for you there?

BTW, I noticed that you also gave me directions for the app rather than the website. I couldn't find that setting on the website. Do you also only use the app like @guest_2108574?

I wonder if I am the only one that prefers to use my PC over my phone for almost everything.

          • I prefer to do almost everything churning related on my laptop. It's just called Cash "App" so I just do it on my mobile device, never really thought to do it another way.

          • Yes it's likely that you're not verified on Cash App. Don't worry. If they want you to verify, they would prompt you in the app @guest_1980657

          • You can verify through the mobile app. They confirm your identity with identification. It gives you higher limits and decreases the likelihood your account might be flagged. Not sure why I did it in the first place, but I know I figured it wouldn't hurt.

          • Where can I check if my account is verified or not? I don't recall whether I went through that process.

BTW, I opened a Cash App Savings account about a month ago. I've been moving my loaded funds there for now but do plan to eventually pull or push the funds out.

Were you aware of that account? It's only 1.5% interest but it turns into 4% if you have $300+ in DDs each month.

I haven't experimented with what DDs trigger that as of yet.

          • Like @guest_1935995 said, you don't really have to do it unless they ask you to. It's pretty straightforward on the mobile app, I've never been on the desktop site.

          • It's ok Eric. You shouldn't have an issue unless Cash App ask you to verify. I'm not aware of the saving accounts. I just hope that they bitch less about me linking debit cards. I'm seeing the same error again. @guest_1980657 @guest_2101137 @guest_2108574

          • Also seems the two accounts I have had for years, one has a middle name the other is just first last. Maybe that helped avoid getting flagged. 🤷‍♂️

          • Could be. I didn't even think to do that. I know they ask for the last 4 digits of our SSN. Wonder what that has to do with it also.

          • That's interesting that Cash App only had you enter the last 4 digits of your SSN. When did you open it?

The reason I ask is because I needed to enter my entire SSN when I signed up for my account.

          • I opened it a few days ago and I'm fairly certain they didn't ask for my entire SSN, just the last for digits, name, and email.

          • @guest_2108574,

I am 100% certain that they required my entire SSN when I signed up last month.

            @guest_1935995,

Did Cash App require only the last 4 digits of your SSN or your entire SSN when you signed up? How long ago did you sign up?

          • How have you been Jimmy? My 1st Cash App account is bee-yatching me linking debit cards too fast.... I'm highly considering making another account. Did you open a 2nd account yet? @guest_2101137 @guest_2108574

Eric, I don't quite remember. It's been 3-4 years since I first signed up. You should be fine if you have 1 account of OnPath and Andrews only.... @guest_1980657

          • What does me only having 1 account each with OnPath and Andrews have anything to do with Cash App? BTW, I have more than 1 account with Andrews.

          • Eric, because it seems like these Cash App accounts are OnPath specific. I haven't seen this error in other bank's or CU's debit cards. Andrews allow you to have more than 1 Kasasa high yield accounts? 😮 How? Thanks Eric @guest_1980657

          • @guest_1935995 .. Hey jack, I'm doing pretty well. Was fishing all day at the inlet but didn't catch much this time. How have you been?

I did make a 2nd account.. Used it for the 15 X OnPath, worked out fine so far. Once I get the card in the mail, I'm about to switch back over for the 50 TBK transactions.

          • Thanks my man Artist. It's ok. Next time more fishes will come to you instead. Any tips on how to make a 2nd account? Don't link the same bank accounts and debit cards at the same time in both accounts. Use an email address only. What else? Thank you. Do you just switch to your 2nd account when you see the error? @guest_2108574

          • @guest_1935995 That sounds like all the details I paid attention to. I can't really think of any other tips. So far I haven't seen the error on the 2nd account so I haven't done any switching. I've only linked the one card and done 15 x transactions.

          • Maybe use an EIN for your "business" account instead of SSN. Not sure. You have a "farming business". Phone number farming 👧 👩 in person maybe because farmers only dot com is too competitive. @guest_2108574

          • Yes Artist. I hope that you're not a young man. I just read a Bloomberg article that young men are more likely to be unemployed than young women. Soon they will complain there're no good men left. https://archive.ph/FpRf6 @guest_2108574

            I'm posting this non-paywall link

          • @guest_1935995 I'm youngish.. haven't they always complained about that though 🤣🤣🤣🤣

          • Ok... go where you're treated best. Go where you're celebrated not tolerated. There're many foreign talents out there! @guest_2108574

          • @Jack Where should I go to find these foreign talents? That sounds like fun

          • Of course I have a passport @guest_1935995.. I don't understand the brother comment.

          • Thanks both Tom for sharing and Artist for asking Tom this question. I wish you all the best Tom with your accounts @guest_2115758 @guest_2108574

          • Looks like I've only verified 1 account. The other two are not. But seems like all three have $20,000 add limits per week, $25,000 withdraw per week.

      • Yeah thanks, I didn't realize having two Cash App accounts is possible. @guest_1935995 OnePay has a $25 minimum for me.

      • Tom, do you think that this is a uniquely OnPath problem? Because I just linked another CU's debit card without seeing that error message on Cash App.

        • I'm thinking it could just be coincidental personally. I just double checked and this is the fourth card I've tried linking since the 31st. The restriction lifted pretty quickly when I got the message with the third card. You might have just experienced what I did - in the morning it was locked and by afternoon, I could link another card. This time (4th card) it's been a few days so far.

It could also be something cash app doesn't like about our OnPath cards though. Head scratcher.

          • Artist, what other High Yield savings accounts do you use? Since you link many debit cards, I assume you do it to meet the activity requirements. Thanks for sharing!  @guest_2108574

          • @guest_1935995 Good question. I actually keep the bulk of my savings in premium money market funds, and it doubles as collateral for sometimes writing put options on stocks I like. So I can generate income in two ways with the same funds, three if you count quick, in-and-out ACH transfers to trigger bonuses.

Fidelity has what's called a cash sweep and is good for this, many other brokerages don't work the same way.

I have a few high yield savings accounts open (laurel and ally) but don't keep much in them at all. So far, I haven't put the effort in to see if I could do better on accounts with activity req's.

As for the recently linked cards, it was just a fluke. I was basically just trying to consolidate some money from accounts I'm not using (current, netspend, etc.) or closing, without waiting on ACH transfers.

          • Thanks Artist for letting me know. I sometimes use Cash App to cash out the remaining $1 in a debit card too.
They probably now don't like people like us swaping cards too quickly and frequently for safety reason.
Wow you sound sophisticated with the stocks and options stuff. Most people may just do the boring set in and forget it index funds
            @guest_2108574

          • Honestly those people will probably outperform me too, but it's still something I enjoy. Another key difference is that I'm more likely to avoid prolonged large downturns with my strategy. I'm hoping to buy a farm, so I wanted to stay more liquid and not be stuck in index funds waiting for a market recovery. Of course, in hindsight, that bull market has just kept on ripping.

          • It's interesting that you want to farm. I hope that one day we'll see you on farmers only dot com. @guest_2108574

      • Thanks Tom for sharing about having 2 Cash App accounts. What's the min. amount for OnePay to reload? Is it really $20 at a time? I just want to do $1 for my HY account. @guest_1931235 @guest_1933107

        • If you don't want to do penny payment subscriptions. Id recommend loading PayPal savings 15 times, 5 a day. I'm not sure what the minimum is.

        • You can also use Robinhood for debit card reloads. 5 deposits is the daily limit so you can satisfy the requirements in 3 days.

          • I am definitely tempted to do Robinhood loads as I have basically no use for that account if they were to shut me down. Do you need to use the app or does it work on the website?

How many cards do use for loads and how many total loads do you average per month?

          • I usually do it on the app in 1.xx increments. I do 5 loads a day (their daily limit) x 3 days. I use the same debit card on Robinhood (you can only link 1 card) so that takes care of the requirements of 1 of the HY accounts. I once tried unlinking my debit card on Robinhood and link a different one and it wouldn't let me add any cards for what seemed like weeks, so I just stick to the one card on RH.

I use 2 cards for loads, on Robinhood and Chime. I do small utility transactions with my other cards to fulfill the 15x requirement.

          • @guest_2121249 I think Chime is $5 minimum. I haven't done any OnPath debit reloads on Chime since the merger, but Robinhood debit reloads do show up as 'OnPath Consumer'. It doesn't need to show up that way though for you to get the 7% rate.

Last month my T-Mobile payments didn't show 'OnPath Consumer' and I still got the interest at the end of the month. I only do 15 T-Mobile bill payments for that account every month. I felt confidence enough to be my own DP after this DP.

I have 8 HY accounts, probably more than I need at this point but I got spooked when they first announced the merger thinking it might affect new applications.

          • #1. It's too bad that Chime has such a high required load amount. Have you had issues changing out the debit card for that also like you did with Robinhood?

#2. I might test Chime with OnPath at some point to see if it shows up as "Consumer". If so, I would consider using that for it going forward.

#3. I am aware of the many DPs of people receiving the 7% rate even though their transactions didn't show up as "Consumer". However, like I've said many times, I am risk-averse. Due to that, I worry that at some point, OnPath will crack down on these transactions. If/when that happens, I want all of my transactions to show up as "Consumer". The reason is because my "real" purchases show up that way. Other types of transactions could be considered "invalid" at any point.

#4. Do you do 15 transactions for each of the 8 7% accounts each month? If so, does that mean that you do 105 bill payments with the other 7 accounts and then 15 Robinhood loads with the 8th account?

#5. Did OnPath do a "hard" pull on your Chex for any of the 7 additional accounts? Can you check if there are any inquiries in the "soft" section for the ones that did get a "hard" pull?

          • I've had my Chime account for a # of years and don't plan to close it any time soon or possibly ever. However, I don't value my Chime account as highly as my PayPal account so I will consider doing loads with them if I get desperate.

          • @guest_2071507,

That's smart that you use 1 debit card per site. That will make it less likely that you will get banned in the future.

For Robinhood and/or Chime, do you happen to use an OnPath debit card? If so, does it show up with the "Consumer" wording that I've mentioned before? The reason I ask is because I wouldn't feel comfortable unless the transactions show up that way.

How many OnPath 7% accounts do you currently have? I may or may not be tempted to open more of them in the future if the 7% rate stays around. Even @guest_1935995 has 3 accounts at this point. 😉

          • Eric, no need to be tempted. Let's see how long JP can keep his job and what would do to the rates @guest_1980657

          • His term is up next year. I'm worried that his successor will eventually lower rates close to 0% again.

          • If the rates will be close to 0%, our OnPath high yield may drop to 3%.... Is that what you're thinking? @guest_1980657

          • Thanks but it's Robinhood.... I don't necessarily like them like Wells Fargo ... @guest_2071507

          • Some people like online dating. Some people like meeting in real life. I don't like Robinhood or Moomoo @guest_1980657

          • Yeah I closed my Robinhood account out of spite when they halted trading on all those stocks that one day..

          • Yeah I never liked these accounts like Acorns or Robinhood or M1.... Fidelity and Schwab and Vanguard can just do the same thing @guest_2108574

          • Yeah they can do even more probably, and with much better customer service. Robinhood really does have a kick-ass user interface though.

    • Same here. I really don't want to use PayPal because I want to keep my PayPal account. Thoughts? @18 @guest_1931235 @guest_1933107

      • You getting the "if you tried linking another card recently..." error message?

I tried linking the card to OnePay app (just to see if there's something wrong with the card) and it seemed to be fine, it's just they have a $25 minimum transaction.

        • Yes I got that message too. I heard that some people use Chime to reload. @guest_2108574

          • Okay yeah I considered Chime but just recently closed my account to set up a third churn attempt.

I got that message once before and a couple days later it started working, which leads me to think/ hope it might be velocity and resolve itself in a little time.

          • Thanks Artist. Please let me know here when it works for you again. I'll let you know too. Let's talk again in a few days @guest_2101137

          • @guest_2108574 @guest_1935995

How often do you both change the linked debit card on your Cash App accounts? How many different debit cards to use in an average month?

          • @guest_1980657 I barely use Cash App at all. But I have linked two other cards in the last week or two, not thinking it might cause an issue.

*Edit* to mention that my Cash App account is verified with relatively high limits. I was loading $5K at a time on the old Mercury offer.

          • Maybe Cash App has a velocity limit of changing cards.

I didn't realize that Cash App has different load limits for different people. How/where do I view my limits?

          • If you click on your profile pic, you should see a tab tha says limits.

          • I'm not sure what you mean by "profile pic". Can you direct me to where you see that option? BTW, I use the website and not the app in case that matters.

          • @guest_1980657 I've never been on the website, only the app. In the app you can upload a profile pic and it is in the upper right corner of the home screen. Maybe it's not possible to view your limits on the web version. Not sure

          • I just checked my limits on the app and they are a lot higher than I ever expect to need.

          • Same here Artist. I had linked 2 other OnPath debit cards in the past 6 days. How many checking accounts do you have with OnPath? @guest_2108574

          • So in the 1st 8 days of this month, you've already changed your linked debit card at least 3 times?

          • Aren't you worried that doing more than 1 reload per day from the same debit card will spook the FI and/or Cash App?

          • Some guy below claims to have like 5 accounts and do all his transactions every month in 2 minutes flat.

          • @guest_2108574,

Who are you referring to that has 5 accounts? I believe that @ @guest_1931235 or @guest_1933107 has mentioned having a total of 20 OnPath accounts so 5 is no big deal.

I was surprised that @guest_1935995 has 3+ accounts only because he seems quite risk-averse, possibly even more so than I am.

          • Yes Eric, you I'm very risk averse and likely more paraloid than you. I will def not use Wells Fargo for my main checking account @guest_1980657

          • What does using WFB as your main account have to do with being risk averse and/or paranoid?

          • I think I get what you mean now. You are referring to how WFB got in trouble for opening people's accounts without their consent.

I don't use it as my main account for a different reason. If I did that, I wouldn't be able to churn their bonuses so often. 😉

          • Yes Eric, I have to think a long time before even opening an account with WF! @guest_1980657

          • I guess that you win the risk-averse contest then as I don't think twice before accepting more of WFB's money. 😀

          • I didn't want to dig for the comment, so I said five as a conservative estimate, lol. The part I found interesting was being able to do 15 transactions on all of the accounts in two minutes a month. I'm having a tough time getting it done on one account. It's taking a lot more than two minutes.

          • IMO, it's risky to do multiple loads (especially 5+) in the same day. However, since risky behavior seems to be your cup of tea, I get it. 😉

          • I created a second cash app account and now risky behavior is my cup of tea? That's kinda funny bro.

          • I'm glad that you found it funny as I wasn't being entirely serious, hence the 😉 at the end of my comment. 😀

          • It's just that I'm actually very risk averse and I'm not sure where I came across as being otherwise. Bank bonuses are about as low risk as it gets.

          • @guest_2117376,

Your definition of "risk-averse" must be very different than mine. Like I told @guest_1935995, before creating additional accounts for sites, I almost always research to make sure that it's allowed before proceeding.

I've seen "someone" mention that they would rather ask for forgiveness than permission. That is certainly not me.

I try to follow the rules for the most part. By creating a 2nd Cash App account without 1st finding out if it's allowed, you took a risk.

That is what I meant by "risky behavior". I wasn't trying to imply that you ride motorcycles or go sky diving every day.

FYI, if you do those things, good for you! I try not to judge people unless they are dishonest, mean and/or unfair to others. I feel that you and I get along fairly well on this site so I hope that I didn't offend you with my replies as that wasn't my intention.

          • Thanks Eric, but no you did not offend me at all so don't worry about that.

I see where you're coming from, but I didn't think it was a risk at all when I did it. Tom said it was possible, so I just took his word and went for it. Cash app is very helpful for churning of course, so it was a bit of a risk in hindsight.

BTW, it's been fine so far, I was able to make the 15 debit transactions and the money is otw to an external bank account.

I think the trick is to just not link the same debit card or bank account.

          • Do you pull money from Cash App using your external account or do you push funds out of Cash App to your external account? I'm thinking that the former is safer but I'm not sure.

          • Aside from the Mercury promo, it's usually pretty small amounts so I've always just pushed funds out of the Cash App account. Never really thought to do it the other way and I've never had a problem with it.

          • What is the Mercury promo that you speak of?

I thought of pulling funds out of Cash App rather than pushing out after I saw the negative DPs that people had with LCB in the HY post.

          • @guest_1980657,

It's not active anymore, but it was a business checking bonus. $500 bonus for spending $10K on the debit card.

I did two $5K loads to Cash App and pushed the funds out soon after. It was just a little sketchy hoping that my funds wouldn't get locked up or anything like that.

          • Artist, please be careful. I personally wouldn't even leave $500 in Cash App. There're just too many scams.... @guest_2108574

          • Thanks @guest_1935995, I'm usually a careful cat. It was a little precarious... Normally I don't leave anything in Cash App. I've heard there are so many scams.

          • My 1st Cash App account is bee-yatching me linking debit cards too fast…. I’m highly considering making another account. Did you open a 2nd account yet? Thanks Artist @guest_2108574

          • Tom also said that not to link the same external bank accounts at the same time. I'm risk averse so I def wear protection. I'm not ready to be a dad yet @guest_1980657

          • Yes Eric. I usually dip my toes into the water first and don't move too fast. But you do you, no need to be tempted @guest_1980657

          • I actually only have one OnPath checking account so far. None of the other cards I linked were OnPath, I actually just got that card in the mail a few days ago.

          • Have you tried to use your OnPath debit card before trying to add it to Cash App? If not, you should use it in-store 1st to make sure that it's working properly.

          • Artist, I'm sure our OnPath debit cards work after activating. It's really the Cash App may not gel with our OnPath debit cards well @guest_2108574

          • @guest_1935995 I just made a 2nd Cash App account and successfully linked the card/ added $10. Definitely a velocity issue.

          • Thanks Artist. What tips do you have to make a 2nd Cash App account? Similar to what Tom said? I'll probably do it as a backup. @guest_2108574

          • It was really straightforward. I had used a phone number for the first account and this time used an email address. Just like @tom said.. nothing to it

          • Eric, do you have a second Cash App account? What info did you have to provide? @guest_1980657

          • Don't understand the question. My first account uses my phone number, the second uses an email address.

          • There's a good reason that you didn't understand my question. I misread your initial comment. 😉

          • @guest_2108574,

Are you sure that having more than 1 personal Cash App account is allowed by their TOS?

I just binged it and found this article: https://www.lifeanswershq.com/how-many-cash-apps-can-you-have/.

This is the key line that I pulled from the article: "According to Cash App’s official policy, users are allowed to have one personal account and one business account."

I have no idea if this person is correct but if they are, you could end up having both of your personal accounts closed at some point. I'm not sure that it's worth the risk.

I would love to have multiple Cash App accounts so I could store multiple debit cards if you find somewhere on Cash App's site that it's allowed.

            @guest_1935995,

What's your opinion on the matter?

          • Yeah I'd be very careful not to have more than 1 Cash App account. It's like having more than 1 Facebook or 1 Amazon accounts @guest_1980657

          • It's possible that Amazon allows more than 1 account per person as I've never binged it. However, I can't imagine that they allow people to use a promo (eg 40% off) on multiple accounts. However, many on here still do that anyway.

BTW, you and I are in a very small minority of risk-averse DoC readers. We should start a club and call it the "DoC Risk-Averse Readers Club". 😀

For example, before I created a 2nd Gmail account, I made sure that it was allowed by doing a search. It turns out that Google does allow multiple Gmail accounts per person but they only allow you to use Drive for 1 account. Were you aware of that?

          • Thanks Eric. I didn't know that you're risk adverse too. I think DoC should have a Minority Report like the Tom Cruise's movie 😀. Oh I didn't know that Google only allow you to have 1 Google Drive only. Maybe you can try to use DropBox or Microsoft OneDrive too @guest_1980657

          • Yes Eric. Real life DC is not that different from what was showed in that movie. Good choice on OneDrive @guest_1980657

          • I have 10 Amazon accounts… CS actually recommended opening an additional account at one point, for another free 6-month Prime student trial.

          • Pickle, how many Cash App accounts do you have? Btw, you really miss us while travelling. What're your some airlines you like which fly in Europe? Thank you! @guest_2071849

          • I only have one Cash App account that I rarely use.

I’m actually on DoC about the same amount as usual. I’m traveling with the fam, and my pops has to take a lot of breaks because it’s soooo hot, so I have a lot of down time lol. I get all the emails from comments clearing moderation in the morning before we head out for the day. And when y’all get chatty back home in the AM, it’s evening here.

My favorite airlines are whatever’s cheapest, usually Ryanair or Iberia. We actually used Delta miles for a short flight in Air France biz, it was pretty dope. All the seats were wide and had good leg room, tablet holders, USB-C outlets, etc. For biz, the seats are the same size, but they block off every other seat, so you don’t have to sit next to anyone. And you get a relatively decent breakfast, compared to most crappy airline food.

          • Enjoy your vacation! You're a good son to treat your pops well. What airline miles do you make an efforts to accumulate? Delta? @guest_2071849

          • Nah, I’m not a fan of SkyPesos. I love flying Delta, but their awards program is trash tier. Dad had the miles for that flight.

Since I’m based near an AA hub, and AA loyalty points are fairly easy to accumulate for status, AAdvantage miles are a no-brainer for me.

          • Thanks Pickle. What tips do you have to get approved for Citi AA credit card? I'm over 6/24 and can't get Barclays... Now only Citi ThankYou points can be transferred to AA, making it harder to earn @guest_2071849

          • I don’t really have any tips for getting approved… I’ve had my Citi AA Plat Select for ages. There actually wasn’t an AA transfer partner until the recent ThankYou pts addition, so it actually got easier to earn. The great thing is every base mile earn one loyalty pt, so you get can easily get AA/oneworld status through CC spend and the shopping/dining portals without a single flight.

If you do get approved, the card is good workhorse for account funding. It’s an MC, and it has also worked for every MeridianLink/LoansPQ app I’ve come across. The downfall is you can’t disable CAs, and the Citi AA-branded cards have a $750 minimum CA limit allowed.

          • Thanks Pickle for your tips. Personally I'd churn the AA cc to get the sign up bonus again. Though they only let people earn the SUB every 48 months.... @guest_2071849

          • Not seeing anything indicating you can’t open a second card for the SUB after 48 months. Checked bags and loyalty point earning > SUB in my case though.

          • That sucks. I should have just looked at making the second one a business account. Guess I have to hope that I fly under the radar. I'd have figured they'd have just told me no if it wasn't allowed. @guest_2071507 a

          • If you had opened a business account instead, are you sure that you would have been allowed to add personal debit cards to the account? Even if that was allowed by the system, I doubt that Cash App would be okay with that.

          • I can attest to having Cashapp close multiple alternate accounts that I had. All of these accounts were created at the same time for debit card reloads, but as soon as I transferred or withdrew funds, the accounts got flagged and closed. The accounts were closed within a month or so after they were created. They allowed me to withdraw any remaining funds to my linked bank account. I tried to appeal and months later they just emailed me a generic denial to my appeal request stating that I violated their TOS. They didn't close my main account though.

          • #1. By the "same time" do you mean that you literally opened several additional Cash App accounts on the same day?

#2. How long after you opened your "main account" did you open these additional accounts?

#3. Were you able to add debit cards that were linked to those closed accounts with your main account later on?

          • @guest_2071507,

I saw your reply in my email but it doesn't appear to be on the site. Did it end up in Spam?

Anyway, I only have 1 follow-up question to what you wrote. Since you apparently don't do debit card loads, what do you use your Cash App "main account" for?

          • @guest_2117364 Yes, I tried editing my comment and it ended up flagged as spam. For context, I mainly use my primary Cash App account to send/receive money from friends and family, some of whom only use Cash App for instant P2P transfers.

@guest_2117122 To recap my earlier (spam-filtered) post: I opened several alternate Cash App accounts on the same day and was able to perform debit reloads without any issues. The problems started after I transferred funds between these accounts to consolidate and then withdrew to an external bank account, at which point the alternate accounts were suspended.

For reference, my main account was opened about six years before the alternates. I’ve never linked a debit card to my main account, and there’s been no activity connecting it to the alternates, which likely helped prevent it from being banned. I did, however, verify all the alternate accounts which was a mistake in hindsight.

          • Thanks megabr for sharing your costly indicients.. I'm glad that they let you keep your primary account @guest_2071507

          • I'm just curious, why did you link your Cash App accounts to each other to move out funds instead of just withdrawing the money to a linked bank account on each?

          • I probably could have linked a different bank account to each Cashapp account that I had.

I thought that doing the debit reloads and cashing out on a brand new account would flag it somehow so I created one account just to consolidate funds and transfer out (didn't do any debit reloads on that one account) and it didn't end up working out.

          • @guest_2071507,

Ironically, I think that those transfers may have done you in. Check out this chat that I had with @guest_2117153, which started here: #2117153.

          • Eric, I think megabr @guest_2071507 probably don't want to link the same external bank accounts in more than 1 of the Cash App accounts, because Tom said that NOT to do that. Or megabr doesn't wanna link a bank account at all. So megabr only use 1 Cash App account that links a bank account @guest_1980657

          • Linking an external account is not necessary at all. Why not just pull the funds out from Cash App using your external account? That is what I will likely do soon.

          • @guest_1935995,

@guest_2071507 actually did reply to my questions. However, it appears that their reply either went to moderation or Spam. I asked them about that a little while ago.

          • Thanks you megabr for sharing your DP. I guess do it at our own risk @guest_2071507 @guest_2108574

          • Haha @guest_1935995 I went fishing so was up pretty late!

          • It's a small one but I just signed up last night. They send a targeted offer for a DD match sometimes, so I'm going to do the referral bonus and hope for the better offer. Not sure if it's churnable.

          • Good for you. The OnPath visa gift card referral should pay out in the mail pretty straightforward

          • I just tried to use my OnPath RL card to load PayPal and Chime and both failed. It looks like I will continue needing to do "real" purchases with it.

          • Thanks Eric. Maybe we should meet up at the grocery store's self check out and high 5 @guest_1980657

          • Must be.. I just really hope that I don't have to make actual purchases with this card, ugh.

          • I know some people go to supermarket self checkout to make real purchases.... @guest_2108574

          • @guest_1935995 For sure! But I'm doing the ones that are 15 X $10 minimum for the referral bonus.

          • Sounds good. Btw, have you heard of the movie Jack Reacher? There's a quota when Sandy said, "You don't look like a Jimmie" :P
            @guest_2108574

          • @guest_1935995 Oh yeah, the Tom Cruise movie, I know it.. My avatar is an image of Prince actually, lol.

          • This is uniquely an OnPath and Cash App issues then probably. I just tried linking another CU's debit card and it worked. Not sure if Tom has a different opinion @guest_2108574

          • Wow, I was considering that but was hesitant to try linking yet another card as a test. Cash App's error message is definitely not helpful, lol.

          • About 3 days, because I do 5 reloads per day, and after 15 debit purchases, I swap to a new card. Eric, are you still not tempted to get more accounts? @guest_1980657

      • I have a couple friends I help in this game and one of my parents. None of them have more than 3 accounts and have been using only paypal for well over a year now for the debits, no issues

        • @guest_2114599,

How many PayPal debit loads do they average per month? Like @guest_1935995, I am hesitant to do monthly loads on my PayPal account for fear of them shutting me down. My PayPal account is quite valuable to me, unlike my Robinhood and Cash App accounts.

          • Eric, seems like you and I are really risk averse and value our PayPal accounts. What's the reason that you value your PayPal accounts? 😆 @guest_1980657

          • I value my "loads" too... not that kind of loads. What else do you use PayPal for? To pay rent? @guest_1980657

          • @guest_1935995,

1 example is ShopBack. ShopBack recently added an ACH cash out feature but I don't trust it. Therefore, my only choice to cash out is PayPal. I do not want to unnecessarily risk having my PayPal account closed.

I saw @guest_1931235 or @guest_1933107 mention having a fake (not "fake") business account with PayPal and getting permanently banned. I would never even consider doing that for many reasons but 1 of them is try to stay in good standing with them.

          • I see. Thank you Eric. Also, some cash back portals or lawsuit settlements offer PayPal too. Are you eligible for that Cap1 360 Savings class action? Do you still have an low interest 360 Savings account? Do you plan to close it or convert it to performance? @guest_1980657

Yeah def don't have any fake account... Also I'd not to the 15 penny subscription...

          • Don't know for the friends, not my business but at a minimum what they need for the monthly requirements. My parent, only activity in their PP account are the monthly onpath debits and withdrawing the money

        • ChurnNGo, it's very kind that you help your friends and parents! They must be grateful to have you. Do they do PayPal penny 1-cent subscription or reload their PayPal balance? Thank you  @guest_2114599

  • I opened my second Rewards High Yield checking (with second Share account) with the referral from Gadget :) I got my first account and Referlive bonus in 2023. Do I have a chance to make another bonus? I see on my Referlive this new account is handing as Current offer. Anyone got several bonuses from them?
I was going to make another login for it, but my second accounts were added to my first login. Can it make a problem with login and e-staetment requirement? Anyone having several accounts under one login with doing qualification for all of them guys?
Another question I have now - what to use for $250 direct deposit. Please give me any suggestions. I am not receiving any payroll now.

    • Welcome back again Racoonzel. ReferLive is likely once in a lifetime....
Have you heard of Amex shutting down people's accounts, people they use their own referrals?
I wouldn't do that to OnPath.... That's like gaming and abusing them.

Yes, to be safe, make a seperate login for your new account. Log in that account once a month for the high yield requirement. And that's the only way you can turn on e-statement.
Right now if you call or DM them to turn on e-statement, they would likely ask you to make a seperate login to do it yourself.
Don't count on having multiple accounts in the same log in. You may still want to log in separately once a month in case their tech doesn't detect your login activity....

It seems like any type of ACH transfer would work for the Referlive bonus. But again, I highly doubt that you can earn that more than once....
Even if you can, I wouldn't do that to OnPath for fear that they shut down all your accounts.
      @guest_1737711

  • They now show all debit cards on the same login. Probably fixed the online login issues that CSR was mislead last month @guest_2071849 @guest_2101687 @guest_2112967

  • Me and @guest_1732237 just discovered that the old visa debit cards are not deactivated when the new MasterCards are activated. Make sure to ask OnPath to deactivate the old Visa's and/or cancel any subscriptions / automatic payments you have on them

  • Anyone else finding it impossible to move money out your OnPath accounts? I added external accounts and they are saying that transfers to external accounts are down and that they are working to fix it. I tried Zelle and kept getting reject so I reached out and they said that they are working to fix Zelle email tokens or something...

Any ideas before I head to the CFPB?

    • Easy there Paul. Don't CFPB something that they already told you about. There's a yellow banner

    • External transfers (in OnPath online banking) have been down for over a month. Search the comments for our conversations.

Zelle is working fine for me on all of my accounts. They did have an issue with email tokens right after the merger, but that has since been resolved. If you were able to register your email with Zelle, and you’re getting rejections when sending, then it’s not an email token issue.

Like Gadget said, there are also other ways to pull funds out. There’s no need to CFPB here.

    • If you are just trying to remove the $57 of interest, you could just pull it using the debit card with things like Cash App or PayPal.

If you are trying to remove larger sums, you should use an external bank or brokerage and then pull the funds via ACH/external transfer.
