Other Retailers Competing With Prime Day Sales

Tuesday is Amazon’s Prime day and other companies are getting in on the action by holding their own sales during this period. Rather than creating a new post for each one, I thought I’d create this dedicated post. Please let us know of any sales that we’ve missed.

eBay

Lowe’s

Deal is better than first thought. More details here.

  • MyLowe’s members get 10% off on Lowes.com purchases on 7/16 & 7/17 (maximum discount of $500). Plus a further 5% off if you use the Lowe’s advantage card.

This isn’t that great as usually you can get 10% off coupons anyway.

  • Mega lame on EBay's part. The only discount listed on their site is 10% off tickets. They've been posting 15-20% off coupons on a random weekday for months now, what in the world.

And Amazon's site doesn't even freaking work very well right now, should be easy pickings to grab some sales from them!

  • "This isn’t that great as usually you can get 10% off coupons anyway."

The 10% coupon stacks with the 10% discount, so it actually is pretty great.

  • Just bought fence panels at Lowes that I'd been planning on anyway. 10% customer appreciation stacked with 10% military veteran discount AND 4% eBates. Sweet.

    • terrific stacking. thanks for the reminder on the military veteran discount, for some reason i thought it was only active duty. that 10% customer appreciation + 10% veteran + 4% ebates + having acquired 15% discount lowe's gift card through swych will save me a lot of money on a nest security cam purchase (if all works correctly)

  • "Plus a further 5% off if you use the Lowe’s advantage card."

Unlikely. That 5% on the advantage card doesn't stack with anything. The max you can usually get is $20 off $100 by using a coupon and stacking that with cash back sites, purchasing gift cards, and maxing out cash/points back on whatever card you use.
