Our Verdict

This ran a similar promotion earlier this year for one month free; this deal gives 2 and half free months.  Could be a nice savings for someone who buys their coffee daily from Starbucks, Dunkin, etc. Be sure to cancel before the promo ends if you don’t want to be charged the regular $8.99 monthly fee.

The subscription itself sounds like a nice savings for someone who buys a daily coffee too, especially for someone who buys more than one daily; nice time to try this out. I bet they aren’t trying to make money on the coffee, just on the additional items purchased alongside.

Update: everyone is up in arms that after signing up the account shows that you’ll be charged in one month. The terms are clear that this is free through 9/7/20; I would assume it’s not reflecting properly in the login, and in practice I assume you will not be charged until after 9/7/20 (or likely even later than that – on your renewal date after 9/7/20, e.g. if you signed up on 6/22/20, you might get free coffee until 9/22/20).

Can’t find a more relevant Sip Club post. Just found 1/2 off a year Sip Club subscription under my Amex Plat Offers and Benefits. Offer expires 2/29/24.

Looks like the current offer is $5 for two months of Panera plus plus 6 months Washington post. Not free.

New update – Panera allows the gift card balance to be used for the subscription, those can always be found discounted on many sites, and Panera themselves run the 20% promotion every now and then

“The Food and Drug Administration said they are looking into the death of a University of Pennsylvania student with a heart condition whose parents allege died after consuming a caffeinated drink at Panera Bread.”

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/fda-…ent-death/

PS. At my local Panera, they moved the formerly self-serve charged lemonafe dispensers to behind the counter.

The caffeine content for the charger drinks is disclosed publicly in several places.
It’s too bad people refuse to read or understand how caffeine works.

Not to pick a fight but: The previous signage said something like “as much caffeine as our dark roast coffee,” a large size of which has 268 mg of caffeine. A large charged lemonade, on the other hand, has 390 mg, or 45% more, and higher than a can of Red Bull. I did see that Panera now has a warning at the top of the order screen, this is only a recent addition.

Upcoming changes in C4:

‣Zero-sugar “Blood Orange Charged Splash” containing guarana and yerba mate coming to Panera bubblers based on sip club member feedback
‣Physical Panera gift cards to be discontinued and replaced with QR codes
‣1% retail price increase across most menu
‣Fuji Apple Cranberry Charger to be discontinued

‣1% retail price increase across most menu

They’ve already almost doubled their prices in the last yr or two.

I can confirm 3GUEST10 still works. Just re-activated an existing account that was idle for months, and it actually gave me 4 months until I would be charged, on 10/16.

The signup clearly says how much you will be charged today, and for subsequent months. Make sure it says $0. If it says anything other, any kind of free trial will not be applied(I learned this last year).

This is like the Paramount+ of sip club codes. Can confirm as of today that 3GUEST10 still gives 4 months.
