• Thanks DoC! Used this in the CapOne Cafe in SF for a large latte (normally $7). Oddly Oatmilk wasn't included as "Plant-based", but Almond milk is.

• Now 'Plant based' as become Go To Word for marking team :) .

• Looks like this promo will end on 3/31 according to the following news article:

  It's just that you can earn 2x points on plant based items until 3/15. But once you sign up, how long do you have to redeem the reward? Also, is it any size drink, or just the small?

  • Yes, but once people add dairy to it, it's no longer plant based. This promo is only good for select items on their menu. There's 4 different plant based beverage items you can choose from to get for free.

• Oh. When you wrote "free plant based item" I assumed you must have meant a plant-based meat item or something. But nope. It's a "Free plant-based bev" item. So... like... coffee or tea? Why didn't they just say "free coffee or tea"? Unless the implication is that at least some of their coffees and teas aren't plant-based, lol. Such a weird way to phrase their promotion.

  • It's not that weird. Coffee drinks usually have dairy added to them, so most chains are now featuring plenty of alternative milks (almond, coconut, oat...)

    • No, I’m correct. It is weird(-ly phrased). Because even though it says “Free plant-based bev”, it’s actually not only beverages (it’s food items as well). But if it is food as well as beverages, then why only say “bev”?! What?! lol

• I'm having trouble finding a location that is not in an airport or a Capital One lobby.

  • I think they are only in DC and the West Coast.
