Priority Pass To Remove Barney’s Beanery From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Update: Barney’s Beanery is leaving the Priority Pass program on November 30th, 2018. Campanile was also recently removed from the program as well, not sure what’s going on at Priority Pass. Hat tip to reader Stvr.

Priority Pass is at it again, this time adding a new restaurant option to Los Angeles International Airport. Members can now visit Barney’s Beanery in terminal 2 (next to gate 22) from 10:30am – 12:00am daily. You’ll receive a $28 credit for yourself and any of your guests, this is valid for any food/drink purchases. A full menu can be found here. It’s odd that you can’t use the lounge before 10:30AM, but before that time you do have access to the Virgin Atlantic clubhouse also located in terminal 2, so not a huge deal. You can view credit cards that offer complimentary priority pass access here.

Here are some other recent additions by Priority Pass:

Wonder if they had similar technical difficulties to Campanile. Really bummed to see LAX opportunities disappearing so fast.

People started reviewing Camponile once they were added and Spoiler: the reviews aren’t good. Almost walked 4 terminals to get some free food but 1.9 stars saved me the trip

If you use the priority pass app, does it create a headache for the restaurant to charge for the meal? I’ve never used it in this manner so I dont know if they just need the priority pass number or what.

The app has a QR code they scan. It’s equivalent to swiping the card, nothing else changes. Just make sure your brightness is all the way up or the scanner will have trouble.

Does anyone know if you can use this if you’re arriving into LAX, rather than flying out?

All US Priority Pass locations accept it with an arrival or departure with a same day ticket present (some request seeing the ticket others do not).

While International locations mostly only allow it prior to departure.

can you go to Barney’s and a lounge on the same day? I have a 6 hour layover.

This is amazing news as my friend flies through T2 on Thursday on her way from the East Coast to Bali. I may drive up and meet her there, and if so I plan to attempt to use both her PP and mine to get double credits. 🙂 🙂 🙂

In my experience with other PP restaurants, they don’t allow you to double up on the credits unless you have a party of 4.

Do restaurants even let you use 2 with only 1 person??

Someone on a Facebook group said that a valid boarding pass for any terminal will get you through security at any other terminal. Can anyone confirm this?

Second question, does anyone know if there is a way to go between terminals 1 and 2 on the secure side?

I can confirm I was let through security at T6 even though my pass was for T5. Might help that I had pre-check.

I can confirm that you can use any terminal at LAX with a valid boarding pass. Some TSA agents don’t know this, so if you get pushback just ask them to find their supervisor. The official LAX TSA Twitter account has mentioned this many times.

Unfortunately, there is no airside connector between T1 & T2, only T2 & T3. You’ll have to re-clear security.

Hi is it $28 for me plus another $28 for my guest, $56 total for 2 people? Thanks!

That is correct.

Seems like it’d be relatively easy to tap into the extra cash by recruiting an additional guest. “Hey man you want a free drink?”

Oh thank god. LAX continues to be strung along with all these promises of Centurion Lounges et al, while PP users continue to be shut out of the Alaska Lounge.
