Raise No Longer Offers Portal Cash Back for Gift Card *Sales*

Raise has removed their cash back offering on gift card sales.

Last month Raise lowered the payout rate on Topcashback from $1.50 per listing/sale to $.50, and it’s now gone completely. Was nice while it lasted.

The only other portal that worked for selling on Raise, that I’m aware of, was Yazing. They sent out an email to users telling about changes as well. Three changes are noted in the email:

  • No more cash back for sales as of today, 3/20
  • Bulk sellers might get clawback on existing cash back (likely, the same thing will happen with TCB as well)
  • Four brands no longer get cash back for *purchases*: Walmart, Target, Home Depot, and Lowe’s

Other brands still earn 2% or 1% cash back on up to $1,000 in purchases with most portals or up to $20,000 with Ebates.

We’ll update our gift card selling guide to reflect the change.

Shame, I made a ton of money from the $1.50 payouts on Amex offers on SGH. I bought 8x $25 GCs to maximize the Raise cash back. That was another $12 per Amex in profit on top of the portal cash back and the profit margin from the resale.

I didn’t know about the $20K lifetime limit with Ebates. I have probably purchased around $10K from Raise already. Does this now limit me to only $10K for Ebates or the full $20K since I’ve never clicked through Ebates for Raise?
