  • Actually, I thought The Donald was just trying to be humorous. We all know "refugee" referred to the delayed Delta passengers, "neighbor" meant your seat mate, etc.

Parody is by its nature extreme, which makes it difficult to differentiate from sincere nuttiness.

  • It's refreshing that your blog isn't political. I check in daily for smart analysis on deals and miles and points news. There are plenty of other places for political opinion. Of course, it's your blog, and you have every right to speak your mind.

  • Don't you dare be bullied the trolls - or even give a damn what they think. Unless your blog is solely a money-grubbing exercise, speak your mind!

  • I've used EatWith in Barcelona and Seville, and in Portugal - they are great, and I've loved each and every experience I've had. Couldn't recommend that company more!

  • politics are ok, as long as its done in the style of reporting and not political commentary. To anyone who believes the media lies that this is any way a "Muslim Ban", I encourage you to actually go read the executive order for yourself

  • I started reading this blog daily about 6 months ago. As I consider your dilemma I realize what you post is informative, to the point & politics free, & I hope this particular blog stays this way. I get an overfill of political views in my work life, home life & even my Facebook feed is 90% political thoughts/ideas/feelings these days. If something were to directly affect the topics you regularly cover then I would like to see a post on it but only then. In the above article the example is someone pointing out the travel ban was not Delta's fault despite what the Pres said. Should that be written on a travel blog? I would say yes because it is important for travelers to know what's causing travel disturbances. Politics directly affected travel this weekend & people were being informed.

(Off topic but I also appreciate how much work is done moderating comments keeping discussions appropriate here. These are the most useful comment sections I've ever come across.)

  • Well, there is nothing we can do. The terms and condition say that the terms and conditions can be updated at any time for any reason. So literally, we are powerless unless we start protesting at Terminal 5. Even then we might get mistaken for liberals.

  • I think it's because the rest of us stayed quiet so long that this mess happened in the first place. Moderate voices get stifled by the heretics; so speak up!
