Our Verdict

You’ll want to use a credit card that earns at a high rate on drugstore purchases. Some stores are cash only for gift card purchases this varies by store. Keep in mind Plenti points are easier to cash out for a lot of people now.

  • Surprised no one mentioned Rite Aid this week ending 8/12/16 whee VGC and MGC have upto $10 back in plenti...a $4 MM on a $100 card plus if you get any kind of double or 5x points on CC a MS opportunity. Unfortunately ending in a few hours, but if someone needs to they can still get this. I just saw this in the store now.
There are few other like Gap that give 5 back in plenti for $25 GC which may not be as good as the Staples deals for them.

  • Can you also get Plenti points for the cost of the GC (apart from the special)? If I spent $100 on the GCs at Rite Aid do I also get that amount of Plenti points or wellness+ points?

    • No, I don't think you ever get plenti points for everyday rite-aid spending, unless it's advertised on the weekly flyer or your plenti account (e.g., use 1000 points or more at rite-aid, get 300 points back).
