[Rumor] Massive Signup Bonus Coming For Chase Sapphire Reserve Card On June 23rd

Everyone wants to know what the signup bonus will be when the Chase Sapphire Reserve relaunches on June 23, 2025. Sources say there have been hints from Chase executives of a massive welcome offer.

Given that the card launched in 2016 with a 100,000 points signup bonus, and given that we just saw 100,000 points on the Sapphire Preferred card, and given the high $795 annual fee, I look at 100,000 as the floor of what the re-launch offer will be.

My personal guess is that it will be higher than 100k, either 120,000 or 150,000. I’m guessing 120,000. We’ll see…

  • Can I downgrade my current csr to a csp to qualify for the new csr now that Chase allows having both?

    • assume thats pretty close. but would be tiered and more spend. $12k too low.

    • um. no. thats targeted. if chase wanna match amex biz plat, then its 150k pts for $20k spend.

    • 100% agree. If they want us to pay more for sh*ttier benefits then it better at least match what k get with biz platinum.

  • Let me get past 5/24 for this one Mr. Dimon! Got my current preferred at 13/24 a couple years ago!

  • we can make very accurate guesses just based on history and other banks.

as some mentioned, 150k pts $8k is likely. or has multi part bonus.
    - INK pref had 120k $8k
    - UA biz 75k $5k + 75k $20k
    - AC card has 75k $4k + 25k $20k

pretty sure new CSR will do similar.

      • thats irrelevant. thats not how SUB works. as a reminder, CSR standard SUB is 60k pts for $550 AF. given ur comment, how would it make sense for CSP or any INK to offer 100k pts for $95 AF? CSR has never been higher than 100k.

the new CSR should be 150-200k SUB in tiered structure.

        maybe 150k for $8k spend.

        or

        100k base $5k spend.
        +100k bonus for $20k spend.

        • No reminders necessary. Subs equate to value for AF cost. $795 fee cost should elicit significantly more than any past subs. The value on the old CSR was high. This new junk CSR would need to have a significantly higher sub to make it worthy of the $795 fee because the benefits are junk.

The fact that you are comparing UA or AC to UR is laughable. Not equal and shouldn’t be used as historical data for the new sub offer.

  • i got this card 2 weeks ago to take advantage of lower AF. i guess i struck out this time.

  • Meh. Just got an Ink Cash today. The Staples runs are annoying but can't do another coupon book
