[Expired] Safeway: Get 12x Points On Zift Zillions + $10 Off $50+

• I purchased zillions cards yesterday at safeway in Arizona, and I received 2x points. Very surprised since this has not happened since they hit the shelves. I purchased several of the ones with Amazon on them. All earned rewards.

• I have a question about cross-redeeming grocery rewards (the $20 off , $15 off ones)

  I know that the points are shared among different market programs (ACME, Safeway, Albertson, Tom Thumb), which means you can use the same email/account to login on different store chain.
  I want to ask if I redeem a grocery reward in Safeway program, can I use it in ACME store by using my phone number?

  • In my experience, this has worked if I log into the program that I want to use the reward and verify it is there.

• My local Albertsons (arizona) has posted the sign for $10 coupon. Did not try it on zillions, since the 10x is dead, but did get a Kohls card and received coupon.

• Never saw the extra 2x in the promo in my account, only 10x. Wish I checked comments here first. Only got 8x, CS promised to add the rest to make it 10x. $10 off was on the receipt.

  I would've done separate transactions if I'd understood that.

• I only got 8x points initially too. Chatted online and explained I shall get 12x points, and I was told "Only 1 offer will apply specially for gift card purchased" thus the 10x and 4x for gift cards cannot stack. So I ended up getting 10x points for Zift Zillions gift cards.

• Purchased purple Amazon zillions and received a $10 coupon. Purchased 2x$50 in one transaction. Did not realize there was a $10 coupon promo.

  I did not see anything in Safeway regarding the promo.

  How did others find out about the promo? Where is Safeway advertising the $10 coupon

• Just bought (Saturday, last day of the 10X coupon in my area) 5 purple zift zillions gift cards and topped them each with $50 in one transaction. There was this red label that these variable gift cards will earn a $10 extra coupon. Unfortunately, I did only receive 2000 points in total (so 5x400) as well as only one $10 extra coupon. Is there any chance to get the missing four $10 coupons?

  • Unfortunately you have to do them separate, like Papas said. I did two transactions per cashier because I didn’t want to annoy them too much. I also did self checkout but even there you need someone to approve each one 🙃 it’s an amazing offer but hard to scale without annoying the cashiers

  • Probably not, you needed separate transactions. I just did two separate $50 purchases of the red ones(Congrats To You) and received 2X400 points and 2X$10 coupons.

  • Thank you for confirming! Today is the day everyone - 12x (get the extra 2x + 2x weekend offer with customer service chat) and $10! I hope my Citi SYW doesn’t get fraud locked with all the $50 purchases I’m going to make 😂. Probably will throw in a banana to change the amount each transaction

  This is on 7/8 a weekday. Only the 10X coupon was chosen.
  Ive done this kind of promo in the past year, buy $50/get $10 and also the buy $75/get $15, never had any issues. The coupon would print on the bottom of the reciept.

  Sign like the one shown in the main post for the $10 off future shopping w/ at least $50 were in the gift card section and on top of that individual tags with the special were above the specific gift cards.

  I bought two zillions to test.

  First was the "with love" card (this is one that has amazon), this earned only 8X/400 points. This did not trigger the $10 coupon for future shopping.

  Second was the actual pictured card in the sign, the one with blue border that says "zillions of ways to spend". This earned 10X/500 points. This did not trigger the $10 coupon for future shopping.

  I was able to work with a manager in store to get them to issue $10 store gift cards to make up for those missing coupons. Take that as a very YMMV as I have many years lone relationship with that store and managers who are used to me buying gift cards in that location. I would suspect that you have to get the exact shown zillions to get the coupon but since none were issued, who knows.

  I was also able to get the 100 by using the app and customer service and taking photos and sending them in.

  I'll go back tomorrow and try a few more and go back Saturday and do some with the two points coupons that will be going on.

  • Weird. I bought the red and gray flavor with Amazon, and I got 8x and the $10 off. I’ll just contact CS for the missing points. Any new dps?

    • Update on 8/9, red amazon triggered the coupon for future and only 8X points.

      • I did 8/9 six times (3 red, 3 gray). 8x and $10 each. No 10x nor 12x. Curious on where you see the 2x for weekends though. I don’t see it on any digital coupons nor signs.

        • It shows as "earn 4X points with gift card purchase" digital coupon on the app on sat/sun that you have to clip/activate. Normally non visa/mc/amex gc earn 2X points, so this operates as an additional 2X points bonus. Now if you try to stack this with another coupon for a specific gift card that is going at the same time (8X, 10X, 12X) it could add another 2X potentially (two times more of the purchased amount, not doubling the amount of total points). Sometimes it happens automatically, sometimes you have to ask (if you ask you may or may not get that approved).

    • Friday was the literal same for me at the same location with using both types zillions of card purchase. Hoping the Saturday get the coupons automatically and if it I can ramp up. Update later.
