• Anyone know how often they run this promo? It isn't advertised in their weekly ad and not advertised in store.

  • I usually see it around Mother's and Father's Days and again around Black Friday. Maybe more but haven't noticed.

• The Zift Zillions of ways to spend gift card that is eligible for this offer in my local Safeway does not have Amazon listed in the card. I am only interested in Amazon right now. It seems it should include Amazon by checking online. I am not familiar with this gift card. Does it only include the stores that it shows in the card? In this case, if Amazon is not displayed in the gift card, does it mean the gift card does not include Amazon?

  • You have to specifically look for one of the teal, purple or orange Zifts with the Amazon logo being one of the brands listed in the front of the jacket; if the amazon logo is not there, it will not redeem for Amazon. The cards usually do include some brands not listed on the front, but for top brands like Amazon if they are not listed on the front they will not be included. BTW you can do this deal multiple times - at least 3 for sure. So you can go for one more round if you find the Amazon zifts. You may have to search for them as they are very popular during this deal; My store was almost out of the teal but did have the purple and orange in plenty.

  • Bought one "Zift Zillions of Ways to Spend" card and got $15 coupon printed with Safeway receipt. I didn't find Amazon when redeeming the card. Picked Instacart.

• I vaguely remembered that when redeeming those $X off coupons printed on the receipt, they do not stack with digital (4You) coupons in the app. If anyone can confirm this that would be great.

  • Sorry about the confusion. I tried myself yesterday and the digital 4You coupons stacked with $15 off.

  • Digital coupons works before the 15$ off copun, no issues with that.
    I had different issue though as when you put coupon into the hole for reading it does not always recognize it, which make it an additional time to call for manager, so he'd apply that discount, but if you have enough time to patiently wait for it, it's resolving just fine ...

    • The new registers at my store have sensors in the slot that read a barcode, assuming to prevent any piece of paper to be inserted. I have since learned sliding the coupon in slower with the barcode facing up seems to work better.

• my store has 50% off clearance on select diaper, make it perfect use of the $15 coupon, I got several $75 zift GC.

  with the 4x potential points and cc cashback, it is about 30% effective discount.

• Went to the store today for that deal.
  Here are some DP, that I think might be helpful to others:
  1. Apart from 15$ coupon, they do offer 4x points on giftcards on Saturdays and Sundays, but I get none, my assumption is that I made a mistake by trying to checkout on self checkout, instead of going to cashier or cs and my Zift GC looks like 'Miscelanious' in receipt.

  2. Coupon in not going to the app, it's actually physical paper, with a bar code, that needs to be saved/Used and then put in special hole near to self checkout box.

  3. I did get the coupon though, and was able to use it immediately, on the coupon it says that you could use only 1 per purchase and purchase have to be 15$+, so the best way is to split you purchase into 15$+ chunks and use 3-4 coupons per 1 visit...

  • Did you get the regular 2x points just not the 4x? CS is usually pretty good as long as you clipped the coupon.

    • Thanks. I did not get any points for that gift card purchase not even 2x. I did contact their online CS, and they stated it didn't qualify, but as a one time courtesy still granted it.
      On the second thought I am thinking it might be due to 'Amazon' exclusion. And I bought Zift with Amazon listed,maybe it counts...
      Or just a tech glitch not sure. CSR told me you may verify with CS on counter before you buy, but I am not really sure they are good source of truth there as well..

      • Amazon has always worked for 2x for me in the past but it’s been a few months. Bummer if that’s now excluded. Glad you at least got a courtesy credit.

• Can confirm - this works at Puget Sound area Safeways. No app, no signage, no indication of any promo, just went with it and it worked out. Even self checkout - scan the coupon, when it rings up at .01 put it in the slot and it'll come up as $15 off. Gonna try it again tomorrow.

• I guess I'm blind - where's the coupon?

  • The coupon is printed at the end of store receipt.

• This is not in NorCal. The app never shows this kind of deal, but the store and the weekly flyer have no info. I guess this depends on the location/area
