(Update) ShopBack Shopping Portal $20 Signup Bonus & More; Earn Cashback On Amazon, UberEATS & More

Update 5/7/25: A few interesting cashback rates this week: May 7-8 get 10% back at Walmart (capped at $10) and $4 per UberEATS order; May 9-11 get 15% back at eBay (capped at $10), 10% back at Giftcards.com (capped at $30), and 10% back at DoorDash (capped at $10). (You can combine these with the $20 signup bonus or potentially the $10 Quests bonus as well.)

Update 5/1/25: The $20 signup bonus (when using a referral link) has been extended through 5/19/25. There’s also now a Quests offer (for new and existing members) to get $10 when shopping $150+ at two separate merchants. And some newer users are seeing an offer to get $5 with first purchase from the portal extension.

ShopBack Highlights

Direct Link to ShopBack (this link contains my referral code)

ShopBack is a cashback portal and extension – click through the portal or the extension and earn cashback on purchases at hundreds of retailers.

Here a few interesting offers that I see right now; these offers will change over time. You should be able to see many of the current boosted deals at this link.

  • Amazon (portal link)- ShopBack is offering $1 back for each purchase on Amazon. Note, the terms exclude purchases paid with your Amazon gift card balance. For the Amazon cashback you need to click through the extension, whereas for other retailers you can click through the online portal without the extension. Note: ShopBack does insert their affiliate cookie on the Amazon purchase which will supersede any other affiliate you clicked from.
  • Walmart (portal link) – currently they are offering 20% back on Walmart purchases in select categories. Max $15 cashback.
  • Doordash (portal link) – 10% back, up to $10 back on an order.
  • Uber EATS – earn $4 on each order (not limited to first order like on other portals).
  • Temu – 20% back

Referral Bonus

ShopBack has a nice signup bonus of $20 for new members who sign up using a referral link. The $20 will reflect immediately in your ShopBack. Within 180 days, the new member has to earn $5 in Confirmed Cashback. The $20 referral bonus will then become available if you’ve confirmed your Paypal withdrawal details.

There’s also a $30 bonus for the referrer. After signing up, you’ll be able to find your referral link on this page.

If you ever wanted to buy me an expensive drink, here is my ShopBack referral link. Thanks. 🙂

Quests Bonus

You can also get various other bonuses on Shopback by going to the Quests tab at the top of the page, or use this link. Be sure to ‘Join’ the Quests and then afterward ‘claim’ the bonus. You might be doing some of these activities anyway and these are easy additional bonuses.

Here are some of the Quests bonuses, these will hopefully to be around through April 11, 2025:

  • $10 bonus for shopping any 3 brands
  • $20 on first purchase with a minimum spend of $10 or more
  • $20 for spending $250 on travel brands
  • For Ulta and Bed Bath & Beyond: shop $100 and get $10 (that’s on top of the regular portal rates)

Note: Quests are sometimes shown only to selected users, and they also have a quota which runs out; it can run out until you ‘Claim’ it so do that as soon as you can. Click on each Quests offer separately to find additional details and terms of the offer.

Cashout

ShopBack offers Paypal to cashout. $5 minimum required to cashout.

Update History

  • Update 4/28/25: There’s a new Quests bonus you can join and get $5 when spending $30+ at two merchants from 4/28 – 5/4.
  • Update 4/21/25: The $20 signup bonus for signing up via a referral link has been extended through April 30th. There is also a $10 Quests bonus for shopping at any 3 brands (and some other deals there as well) – these are for new members and existing members.
  • (Updated 4/8/25: Through April 11th, sign ups should be eligible for three bonuses: $20 referral link signup bonus, $20 first purchase Quests bonus, $10 with 3 purchases Quests bonus. Total $50 bonus on top of the regular cashback earn. More details below.)
  • Update 4/7/25: Actually it appears that the ‘Quests’ for $20 back on your first purchase tracked for me separate than the initial signup bonus. And so I think this will be $55 for signing up and meeting a few requirements: $20 for signing up with a referral + $20 if you activate the Quest for first purchase and then claim it + $10 for making 3 purchases + $5 for first browser extension purchase. Note, some of these bonuses end tonight 4/7/25 11:59 PT.
  • Update 4/6/25: A reader points out there are also Quests which you can do which will help you earn more (some of the things you’re probably doing anyway). It should add $15 on top of the $20 referral signup bonus; see details in the new Quests section, below. Be sure to ‘Join’ and opt into each Quests offer. If you already met the signup bonus requirement, you can still opt in and do these bonuses pretty easily for an added $15 for a few purchases and a browser extension added.

Our Verdict

This looks to be an easy $20 with the initial signup referral bonus if you can get $5 in cashback earnings (e.g. five Amazon purchases or any other merchant). It should be easy enough to also get the $20 Quests bonus when shopping $10+ on your first purchase, and also the $10 Quests bonus with shopping at 3 merchants between March 31 and April 15th. I’d try to make my first purchase $10 or higher in order to trigger the $20 Quests bonus, and then claim the bonus after it tracks.

Other than the initial signup bonuses, the portal can be useful for the $1 cashback earn on Amazon and for some of the other boosted cashback offers as well. Always compare rates against other shopping portals on Cashbackmonitor or another aggregator.

ShopBack has a Wikipedia page and has apparently been around since at least 2015. They seem to be an established company in other countries and are now expanding into the U.S. (We have no direct relationship with ShopBack.)

I only learned about ShopBack today and browsed around their site a bit. Overall the entire platform has a sleek and professional feel. I also like that the terms are spelled out clearly for each retailer. Hopefully this will be another useful shopping portal/extension. Feel free to chime in below with your experiences.

  • On the Shopback quests, I stupidly didn't understand that we're supposed to both "activate" and "claim" it also.. I was waiting for the quests to post automatically.. Actually when I went back into quests just now they all show as "expired" which is pretty lame.
Don't be like me and not realize you need to click on them twice.. once to activate and again at a later date to claim.. such a stupid system.
Also, I just realized Shopback is the big cashback app/site in southeast Asia. I knew that name sounded familiar.. so I guess they want to take on the U.S market now. I believe it's the Asian cashback brand that's popular in Singapore and other countries in southeast Asia.
Also, shoutout to TopCashBack. I've used all the cashback sites.. and TCB has been the most flexible and most lenient.. yes, sometimes it doesn't track or you need to wait a long time for those VPN cashbacks.. but overall they've been the best and most reliable.
Also, I was banned from Rakuten and they stole my $300 of cashback.. and they won't even tell me what I supposedly did wrong.. so I hate Rakuten with a passion. already tried fighting it through BBB and no avail

  • is there any cap on amazon order? I feel that there is a daily cap of 10 orders, but cannot confirm. I am a heavy amazon user, but feel a lot of orders are not tracked.

  • My Amazon $1 from April 5th just became payable
Edit: also, in general, my Amazon purchases have been tracking well lately

    • Mine too. April 8th purchase date. Z$1 confirmed.
Also, the $4 cashback from UberEats on April 6th is shown as scheduled to be confirmed on May 21st.

  • New Quest $10 for two stores. But each purchase $150. Almost fell for it. I guess no more tomatoes.

    • I had never heard that expression before. The "meaning" that I found online (which is below) doesn't make sense for this situation. What say you?

"The term "No Tomatoes" is a slang phrase that has become popular in recent years. It is used to describe a situation where someone does not want any additional or unnecessary elements added to something."

  • There is a new Quest on the site. It is a $5 bonus for shopping at 2 stores. However, each store requires a $30+ purchase, making the offer a lot less attractive than previous offers.

  • Chuck,

Does DoC have a referral link or code to use for Giftcards.com, because I was thinking of using the site to make a purchase to accomplish a Quest? I know I can get better cashback using a different portal, but Giftcards.com is one of the only other sites/merchants on Shopback that I probably would use apart from Amazon. If I end up making a purchase on the site, I assume it would help DoC get a little kickback or commission.

    • I can't help you with the referral question. However, I would like to let you know that I've made 3 GC.com purchases through ShopBack and all 3 tracked within a couple of hours of purchase so it's very reliable.

      • Thank you for the input on my posts referring to the referral link as well as the quest sites. What browser are you using when making your purchases? I initially used Chrome though I might try one of the other browsers to see if tracking is better.

        • I have used Chrome for all of my purchases. Every single one of my purchases (>10) have tracked. The only issue that I have ran into so far is what I described in the comment about the failed Quest.

  • For the Quest that says shop at any 3 brands to earn a $10 bonus cash back, does it have to be 3 different brands/sites or could it be a combination of one or two of the same? I couldn't find anything in the terms and conditions, but it does say shop at three stores so to me that's vague.

    • @guest_2039187,

I agree that the terms for that Quest are vague but I'm pretty sure that it needs to be 3 distinct sites during the period of time rather than any 3 tracked purchases.

However, even though I had purchases from 3 distinct sites track successfully, the Quest did not become unlocked for me. See my comment here related to that in case you missed it: #2048795.

  • Another update: purchases all have been tracking well. Exception is Amazon which tracks around half of them. (Note: I pay for all orders with amazon gc so technically that could be the reason for lack of tracking.)

  • When does earned cashbacks become available for withdrawal?
I earned some cashbacks about 2 weeks ago but none of them has become available for withdrawal yet.

    • As I mentioned in a reply below, mine are currently sitting at confirmation happening in either May or June. (There's a blue comment under each line item on your My Cashback page.)
