The Offer
- The signup bonus for the Chase Southwest Premier credit card is still available at 50,000 points. You’ll need to spend $2,000 within three months to receive this bonus. $99 annual fee will apply for the first year and all subsequent years.
The 50,000 point offer comes and goes. We reported the offer being available on all 3 Chase Southwest cards last month. None of those links work anymore to get 50,000 points, but via slickdeals you can still get the bonus with the above link for the Premier version of the card. The other two versions are apparently not currently available with the increased signup bonus.
The Fine Print
- No word on how long the offer will be available.
Our Verdict
If you’re in the market for a Southwest card, you can get the 50,000 with this link. Note that this card has a higher annual fee than the Plus version, but it has the advantages of no foreign transaction fees. It also has a 6,000 point anniversary bonus, versus the 3,000 bonus on the Plus version.

I have referrals for both the Southwest Plus and the Southwest Premier card. Both of these come with a 50,000 point sign up bonus after hitting the $2000 minimum spend. This is an easy way to get the Southwest companion pass and after hitting the minimum spend on both cards you will have 104,000 of the 110,000 points needed. The current offer at Southwest is 40,000 points per card. Without the referral you would be missing out on an additional 20,000 points which will make it that much harder to get the companion pass.

Yes I will get a referral bonus if you use my link. If you time it out right and have the points post to your account in January, you can have the companion pass for nearly 2 years. If you like to travel on the cheap, there is no better way to do it.

I signed up for and got the SWA personal premier card, but haven't seen any language in my new member materials or the website that indicates I'll get 50,000 points after the first $2000. Will I see it advertised, or will it just show up on my account after I meet the requirement?
New member materials often don't state sign up bonuses as they frequently change. As long as the landing page you signed up with showed the offer it should be OK.
I think it did, but didn't know I'd have to follow it so carefully. I was on 'doctorofcredit' when i signed up. Thanks.
