[Expired] Speedpass+ App: Two Free Audible Audiobooks + $10 Amazon Credit (Works For Existing & New Users) [Last Day]

Deal has expired, view more Speedpass deals here.

Update 07/10/18: Today is the last day for this deal, do it now if you haven’t already.

Update 06/13/18: Deal is back again. Won’t work if you’ve done it before sadly.

Update 04/29/18: I received my $10 Amazon credit. Subject line is ‘Your Amazon.com Gift Card from Audible and Speedpass+’. Deal is still active so reposting.

Reposting as there is now a direct link to the offer so it will mean that iOS users can do the deal. Big thanks to reader J.R.

The Offer

Direct link to offer (seems this will only work if you’re a new customer. If you’re an existing customer you need to go through the speedpass+ app to get it work)

  • Receive a free two-month Audible membership that includes two Audiobook credits. Within two weeks of signing up you’ll also receive a $10 Amazon gift card

The Fine Print

  • This is a limited time offer. Offer valid from April 1, 2018 12:00AM PT until July 10, 2018 at 11:59PM PT or while supplies last.
  • Offer is not available to existing Audible members, those currently participating in an Audible trial, or those who have been an Audible member or participated in an Audible trial in the last 12 months.
  • You will receive a FREE two-month Audible membership that includes 2 credits as part of the standard Audible Monthly Gold Membership plan. After the first 60 days, this membership will renew monthly at the regular price of $14.95. You can cancel at any time and you will not be charged thereafter. After you successfully sign up for the FREE Audible Trial, and your account is verified, within 2 weeks you will receive a follow-on email containing a unique code for a $10 electronic Amazon.com Gift Card.
  • The Amazon.com Gift Card is non-transferable and may not be re-sold.
  • This offer is limited to one per person.
  • To qualify to receive the Amazon.com Gift Card you must have an existing Amazon.com account that was opened prior to March 31, 2018 and that account must have been active (as evidenced by at least $1 in transactions) during the six months up to March 31, 2018.
  • The Amazon.com Gift Card only applies to products sold by Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services LLC (look for “sold by Amazon.com” or “sold by Amazon Digital Devices LLC” on the product detail page.) Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for purchase by the Amazon Gift Card, even if “fulfilled by Amazon.com” or “Prime Eligible”. Offer does not apply to digital content.

Our Verdict

Basically you get a free two month subscription to Audible (this includes two credits). You’ll also get a $10 Amazon gift card that will be sent within two weeks of signing up. Speedpass+ is a mobile app for Exxon/Mobil. Looks like you no longer need to download the app. Best part of this promotion is that it’s working for people that have previously had Audible accounts in the past. Even if you’re an existing user it will work, you just need to cancel your account first and then sign up again.

Keep in mind this is a trial, after two months you will be charged the normal price of $14.95 per month so make sure you remember to cancel.

  • Do the audiobooks ever expire if i cancel my Audible account?

I am on the fence about signing up as I don't have a lot of time right now to use the 2 free months. But the $10 and 2 free books is best I've seen so far.

Should I do now or later? Can I always create a new amazon account and audible account for a free trial?

  • Some data points:
    1. Even through the app I couldn't get the offer as according to audible I have participated in a trial in the last 12 months.
    2. On a different account I got the offer to work but it shows as 30 day trial. Did anyone else get the same ? Where can we verify trial membership end date ? There is nothing about membership trial end date under "Your membership" menu option.

      • Try chat support for which issue ?
Some people have reported they could cancel existing membership and got this offer. I am not understanding how this could be done. My membership trail membership which has already been cancelled and so what can I cancel again ?

  • No go on either account, supposedly because of already taking advantage of the free trial this year.

  • I've never been an audible user before. When I signed up, it says "Trial for 30 days" and I received one book credit. Is that right? Will I get the second credit in the second free month, or was I supposed to see 60 days/2 credits immediately?

    • Yes, I believe so. Don't be a dummy like me and not read it - I thought the GC would magically appear after signing up last month. When you get to Audible, if the page doesn't say two months free & GC, run away.

  • "Only new customers are eligible for a free trial."

"We're sorry, it appears you have already taken a free trial this past year. Please add a different payment method or start your paid membership."

Tried on laptop browser, through mobile app, and changing payment options. No dice for me.

  • I don't see it in the app.... I just see fuel discount promotion and smart card offer?

  • Is the $10 gift card mentioned in the checkout page after logging in? I just see 2 free audiobooks in the "What do I get?" box.

  • I'm still trying to figure out what SpeedPass+ has to do with this offer? It wasn't mentioned anywhere except on the first page.

  • I signed up some time in April, during the first round of this when it was giving the $10 Amazon GC offer to everyone. I received the $10 as expected, in early May. Then I received a second $10 Amazon GC from Audible in mid June, for no apparent reason - I did not attempt the second round of this deal when most people were reporting just seeing some lame discount on a charger I didn't need. I didn't even realize until I got around to adding them to my Amazon account this weekend, and found two identical-but-with-different-GC-codes emails from Audible instead of one. Both of them worked. Did this happen to anyone else?
