My son is staying at one of the Airbnb rental now until late August for a intern job. Made the first payment by credit card, just wondering if I can load their gift cards to the account for future payment? Thanks,
@guest_1634337 You can not use your credits on a "trip" that has already been reserved or is in progress and you want to extend it. My experience is you can only use credits when making the initial reservation. You will need to load multiple gift cards into your account as a credit if you have a high-cost reservation and want to use gift cards. You can make the entire purchase with your credit amount. The system automatically inputs your credit amount on the payment page for a new reservation unless you select to not use your existing credits.

i think you're only allowed to use gift card (needs to be loaded into account first) for the initial payment
i had a reservation with multiple payments, and i could only update the payment to a different card for the second one
Thanks for the input. If that's the case , it's too bad, as I already bought some at 10% discount. I have some hotels credit cards, so seldom use Airbnb. I bought these Airbnb gift cards only for this use. I have been trying to get more of these gc, as my son's rental is $3000 per months and now I will stop here.
My strategy has been to buy the no fee $200 VGS from Staples for 5x points and use those to buy digital BNB gcs on Amazon/ Best Buy/ wherever current promo is. Can then load those bnb gcs onto your acct and there is an option to apply GC funds to existing reservations. Tha's the easiest way I've found to do it.
