  • @chuck @will please remind people to cancel their IdentityGuard subscription. I completely forgot about this MM I did last May. Thankfully I received a reminder email about my upcoming renewal, I'm not sure everyone else will be so lucky.

    • We can't really do reminders for everything that needs to be cancelled. Better to set a reminder in your calendar when signing up

  • Is there a good identity theft monitoring service you guys would recommend? I am looking for one

  • @chucksithe I just noticed this is $100 on inbox dollars, Swagbucks, and about $12 more on MyPoints (170000MP's).

Anyone know if this is churnable?

  • As is so typical of SB, I still have not been credited. I filled out a ticket but not too hopeful due to them asking for a purchase order number, which I cannot find in the email or in the account.

    • I submitted everything I had and was told to wait 32 days before submitting again. I keep trying to re-submit the information but there is no way to do that since the originally request was closed as being "solved." Anyone have a solution?

  • I want to report a strange thing.
Person one: Registered yesterday and paid the $29.99 fee using Credit Card I. On Credit Card I, there is a temporary charge of $9.00 under the name "Auth : Identityguard." The temporary charge is immediately refunded. This is normal because many companies charge a small amount to ensure that the card is valid. I am not sure why this time the charge is larger (i.e., $8.00), but that is O.K. Then, the full charge of $29.99 showed up on Credit Card I. Everything is OK for Person one because I got the pending 5,000 points on Swagbucks.

Person two: Registered today and paid the $29.99 fee using Credit Card II. I did not check Credit Card II because I thought it should be O.K. (I already got the pending 5,000 points on Swagbucks). Then, I used Credit Card II for another transaction (totally unrelated), and the card was declined. I logged into the online banking for Credit Card II and found AmEx blocked the transaction. AmEx thought that two charges from ARAU.com were a fraud. Yes, I saw that there are two charges from ARAU.com, each being $8.00, which were immediately refunded. There are no other charges recently. So, I do believe that the two $8 charges are legit and are from Identity Guard. However, I am not sure why the name ARAU instead of IdentiyGuard is shown.

  • P1 5000SB pending
    P2 8500MP pending
    P3 $50 Inbox$ pending
*Probably could have used the same person, since the address/SS# is not required, but didn't want to risk it. Three different names/emails/GV#

    • I could only cancel renewal. I can't find any option to get the service cancelled and get a refund.
