Checking:
3/3- Funded with $100 (after a lot of hassle and calls)
3/6- 5,000 push from Ally
3/25- 500 transfer from a side-hustle pay site
3/27- 1,500 real payroll DD
4/10- 1,500 real payroll DD
4/24- 1,500 real payroll DD
5/6- $400 New Account Incentive

There were some transfers out and interest deposits in there too, but i left them out to simplify.

Had a bunch of hassles opening this…. Seemed mostly to be incompetence by the people opening the account. Had to go into branch to sign stuff even though I opened online. (probably could have scanned and emailed, but was tired of dealing with them on the phone so I just went in to handle it.) But besides that it was pretty easy, and paid pretty fast. Still waiting on the 90 days for the checking bonus. Will update then.

Thank you for following up with this. I was wondering when to expect the $150 and the $50 bonus. Looks like it’s pretty much exactly 90 days after account opening.

Tried opening it online. Received a msg that I’ll be reached out by the bank representative. I decided to call them myself but they said they couldnt verify my identity and asked to open the account in the branch. Total waste of time. Nearest branch is some 15miles away. Dont know if I should go.

Opened the $400 Checking account online last night. Funded with CC, sent signed documents and copy of DL over as requested. Receive an email today notifying me that they have to close my account since I am not within 60 miles of a branch (I’m in Nashville area, closest branch is Huntsville, AL about 110 miles away). Bummer

Had quite the experience opening this. Opened online, They called me a few days later, i had to print out, sign, and scan a bunch of forms, scan a copy of my ID to them, and then stop by a branch to sign a signature card. I just took the signed forms and ID to the branch. After a bunch of discussion i think it is finally opened. Hopefully the bonus didnt get removed in the process. The lady on the phone mentioned it was applied and good to go…. But we will see I guess….

So, for the 400 bonus: To avoid the fee, 5000 must stay in the account the entire time during the 6 month period. Is this correct?

I am wondering the same thing…. From reading the offer and the account fees on their website, Checking account needs $5,000 to stay fee free. The savings needs $200. So after you get the bonus you can move most of the money out of the savings account but not the checking…?
Anyone know if you can downgrade to the Freedom Checking?

Yes, once u get the bonus, u can downgrade to freedom checking, but they will not do over phone/chat. You have to visit the bank.

From the T&C:
If your new checking or savings account is closed within the first six months, the earned bonus will be deducted at account closing.

Does anyone have any recent DP as to what counts as a DD? I’ve seen JP Morgan Chase mentioned but is this for a regular personal checking account? Should soon be receiving my Chase $600 bonus anyway so plan to move 15k over to Iberia for another $600.

Capital One 360 Money Market worked for me last year.

Good to know, thanks. Might have to open an account again if Chase transfers don’t work. Hopefully I’m not blacklisted for filing a CFPB complaint!

I opened an account before but couldn’t fund it before the window closed. Am I still qualified for getting bonus?

I was able to sign up and receive this bonus last year with a Dallas area zip code, so this is definitely available to at least some parts of Texas.
