The Offer

- A number of readers mention getting an offer from Amazon for 40% off their first order with Amazon Business, up to $100 discount ($250 spend).
Our Verdict
You can sign up for a free Amazon business account at this link (that’s our affiliate link, thanks). (There’s a Business Prime membership option mentioned on this page as well, but that’s not needed for this offer.)
We’ve seen this type of offer before, and I’m not sure exactly who is targeted or whether it makes sense to sign up now for a business account to see if you can get targeted. Let us know if you try.

The discount can not be applied towards GC purchase :(
Does anyone have any data point if this actually works for any $250 giftcard purchase ?
This seems to be the official terms (it shows in my browser even if not logged in on Amazon):
https://www.amazon.com/b?node=122309300011&ref_=ab_reg_inct_onsite_oth_pd25_us_tc
It states: "Promotion expires at 11:59 p.m. 07/20/2025" @2
It doesn't work with GC. I tried both physical and digital.
I've been planning on opening an AmBiz for a while now...so I decided to be the dp. They asked for my business name, and if I'm a sole prop...yes. In that case...SS#. I'll see what's next and report back. Have a blessed rest of your day!!
Asking for SSN is too much information.
I was targeted and able to open an account without any business information. They asked for my sole prop. name and address and that's it.
Seems like it's harder to open business accounts now. You used to be able to verify with just a business CC but now they require at minimum an EIN and verification letter.
Can you switch back from business to personal?
Yes
I linked my business card to my Amazon personal account, and I got the offer (Up to $100) to convert to a business account.
What kinds of documents does amazon ask to send when converting to a business account? Is it an easy process? Just want to make sure it's hassle-free.
Is it worth it to open a business account, and what are the advantages/benefits of a business account versus a regular account?
I've even seen business accounts promoted to teachers so they can open one, and I wonder what they would get out of opening or would be able to open it at all. Also I would think schools or the school districts themselves would have the business accounts not the individual teachers.
I opened one. Basically the same as regular Amazon but certain items get business or bulk pricing. Your personal prime is also shared across.
would this stack with an amex 40% off offer?
No, there is no option to use points during the check out.
Nothing on my end. No emails, logged into the business account to see if any obvious deals. Added an item to the cart and tried to check out to see if anything popped up, nada. To be fair I have completed 3 orders with this business account within 2 years, the last being Christmas time so if it truly is 1st order ever for a business account... I just don't see how they would target then. I'll be curious to see how many were targeted.
