Nothing on my BCE, but I've been milking the 10+3% on the SimplyCash Business at Exxon/Mobil so I'm not upset.
The point is 5% on $167, or $8.33 in Rewards Dollars. Not bad.
I never put spend on a card unless I'm getting the absolute best return, and having added the Amex Gold and Citi Premier to my wallet this year, I'm left with an all-but-orphaned Rewards Dollars balance (I only use the BCE for the odd Amex Offer that doesn't also show up on the Gold). Any little bit helps, so I'll take it.
And my wife was targeted for an additional 2% (4% total) on department stores. Might get something for the house on Black Friday if there's an in-store-only deal...
I got the following offer on my cash magnet card:
Earn 3.5% cash back, up to an additional $5 cash back
at US Supermarkets with your Cash Magnet Card
now through 12/31/19.
That's an additional 2% back on top of the 1.5% you
already earn at US Supermarkets.
On the BCE card, it is 4 percent on top of the regular 2 percent. Combine this with the $5 off $30 at 76/ConocoPhillips stations offer, you get a 23 percent discount on gas. The is also a BPapp offer. No complaints here.
The fine print for my BCP 5% offer says “ You will receive an additional reward of 2% cash back (for a total of 5% cash back) up to an additional $5 cash back on gasoline at gas stations located in the U.S. between November 10, 2019 and December 31, 2019.”.
So it is good for $250 in gas purchases. Better than nothing, but barely.
