Our Verdict

Similar to the Chase deal that was offered. Gold Star membership costs $60. It’s essentially like free Costco membership since the $40 + $20 offsets the $60 cost. Sweet deal for those targeted.

  • I got this email 2 weeks ago (the offer expires 10/31). Basically spend $60 on membership (with auto-renewal) to get $60 statement credit. Has anyone use Earner Biz card to buy personal costco membership? Did it work?

    I talked to barclay's customer support and they insist I have no such offer on my account. Now it is as sketchy as barclays go and not sure if it worth to pull the trigger.

  • That's a pretty nice offer from Barclay's. I actually had the Wyndham card for a few years--the old one that earned two points per any dollar spent. However, they shut me down, as I was hitting it hard. Now that they've moved to the new rewards structure, it was probably a blessing that I was shut down, although I still have over 200K points to use in the next 13 months before they begin to expire. It was definitely a good run while it lasted.
