The Fine Print

  • Valid through 6/30/19
  • The bonus cash back earned is in addition to the 1% cash back you earn on all purchases not in quarterly bonus categories for a total of 6% cash back.

Our Verdict

Nice deal but the $300 spend cap is a bit annoying. Still should be useful for a lot of readers.

  • Purchased $300 walmart gift card using Chase Pay online 6/12. Posted 6/13. As of 6/24 the 5x bonus points are not pending even though the 1.5 for the purchase shows in my UR account. I have sent them a SM.

  • Bought $50 in third-party GCs on Walmart.com website and used Chase Pay. Got only 1X points when transaction posted instead of the 6X.

    Fineprint says:
    Bonus cash back will post to your account within a week of the transaction posting, and will appear on your monthly credit card billing statement

    So I guess, I'll just wait for few more days and update

  • Chase Pay keeps failing authorization on Walmart .com... on the phone with CSR for almost 20 min now trying to figure this out.

    • I have had the same experience while to trying to pay for WM/SC gcs, I suspect GC purchases aren't allowed using CP that's why I can't make it work.

  • I just received this offer for my Freedom Unlimited card. (I do also have regular Freedom, but the Unlimited was stated in the message I received.) Also, when following the email link, there were several other merchants noted as eligible, including Best Buy, which is where I will probably take advantage of this offer.
