Our Verdict
Keep in mind this card is treated different product/family for the purposes of Citi’s 24 month per brand rule. When this card first launched I wasn’t a big fan, but I changed my mind on second look due to the fact you can get the bonus and it doesn’t reset the 24 month Citi rule for other American Airline cards and the fact it earns 2x miles on grocery stores with no cap.

Applied it a week ago and got approved for the original offer (10K miles + $50). Can i call citi and ask if they could match for this offer?
Wife received only 10k and $50 in mail today.
got a 20k targeted offer with $100 in statement credit today- same $500 in spend.
the catch: language says "if you are an existing citi aadvantage cardmember, you are not eligible for this offer on your existing account." Not sure what this means.
Means you can’t apply that offer to a card you already have.

Depends if you plan to take advantage of the 2x on grocery and if your report is already littered with 100s of apps
