The Offer

- eBay is offering some customers $10 off $30+
The Fine Print
- Discount applies to the purchase price (excluding shipping, handling, and taxes) of an eligible item on eBay.com.
- Eligible items exclude items from the Coins & Paper Money, Gift Cards & Coupons, Vehicles and Real Estate categories.
- Coupon can be used once for up to the maximum Coupon discount amount, while supplies last.
- Any unused difference between the actual discount amount received and the maximum amount will be forfeited.
Our Verdict
Shame it’s not a public offer, seems most people aren’t targeted but worth heading over to eBay to double check. As always don’t forget to use a portal.

I also received this offer via eBay’s messages system. The subject line of it is “❤ Spend less on the things you love ❤”
Didn’t get this but got to choose a free gift from a bunch of items 5 bucks or less .
Sounds like https://www.doctorofcredit.com/highly-ymmv-ebay-5-off-with-promo-code-welcome5/ ?
rats not targeted. i’ve been leaving stuff in my shopping cart hoping that will trigger something. they keep sending emails thinking i’ve forgotten to check out though!
Does anyone know how to trigger targeted emails from eBay? I don’t receive any notifications other than won or outbid…
Most of these targeted offers apparently go to accounts that have been dormant for months/years. If you’re bidding on stuff, you’d have to stop for quite a while.
You need to make sure you have marketing messages on. If you have an old account, it may have inherited defaults which would have them be off. My Ebay -> Account -> Communication Preferences -> Promotions and Surveys.
I never get any of these targeted offers 🙁
can i get this email if im not subscirbed to email directly to my email ebay marketing mail goes only to my email inbox? thank you mr charles and mr chuck for this great and phenomenal life changing website
Don’t think so
Have two accounts —-
– 1st account had a very small thin banner that was dedicated to this offer, and it was $5 off with NO minimum buy — I used it on $15 and saved $5. — So.. THANKS!
– 2nd account — In only ONE of the BIG banner ads that rotate: ==> $5 on a $25 purchase, x3… IOW, I guess you could use it 3 times… (Passed — not that great).
— FYI — the $5 CODE from that 1st account would NOT work on the other account.
I did not get this one but waiting for a 20/15/10% off flash sale…it seems like its been a long long time since we had one.
William Charles here is a suggestion: it would be great to have a post with running ebay % off deals so we can try to predict when the next % off ebay deal will show up based on past deals as well as have something to compare from history given that these have occurred the regular frequency in the past.
I just received it in only 1 of my 3 ebay accounts. I don’t know how they targeted that account.
Do you need 3 PayPal accounts for your 3 ebay accounts? Or do they allow you to pay from one PayPal account to whichever ebay account you use?
You can pay directly on Ebay for several years now without using Paypal.
Almost always the way: I don’t have anything in mind to get, I get targeted; I’m actually waiting on a deal to get something, I’m not targeted.
ETA: Sorry for the unintentional double-post/the comment awaiting moderation–I seem to have accidentally hit Return between entering my name and my email address, so it didn’t recognize me with the first copy of this message (which you can obviously delete).
Meanwhile, I do have something to buy (seller just sent me a good offer expiring tomorrow) and I’m not targeted. Ebay must know.
