Bank of America is opening a new branch in Pittsburgh and they are offering some existing Bank of America customers without a checking account a $300 bonus for opening one. This looks to be the same bonus as the one we’ve previously mentioned before here. Only difference is that an e-mail seems to be have been sent out rather than it showing up in special offers. The e-mail subject line is ‘A $300 bonus offer and banking convenience all in one place’. Not sure if Bank of America are opening any other branches, if they are I suspect similar e-mails will be sent out. Unfortunately you’re not eligible unless you received the targeted communication and this has been enforced in the past.

I saw the $100 offer when I went to BOA website today. After sign out of my account, I went to its main page again and the $300 offer is there. In case anyone did not get the $300 offer, this may worth a try.
Interestingly Pittsburgh is probably the largest metro in the country without one of the Big Four banks, until now. Honolulu is a bigger city but Pittsburgh is definitely the biggest metro.
Yeah... PNC kept them away from here
There's a non-targeted $100 offer for people in the Pittsburgh area too. (It's available to anyone in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington, or Westmoreland county.) https://promo.bankofamerica.com/steelcity/
I'm in Pittsburgh and I got the e-mail. Their first branch here is not even open yet. If I apply online, do I need an offer code? Or they will match me with the targeted offer by my personal information? Thanks!
I think the e-mail you received has a customized link in it, so I'd use that but I think it's automatically just paired based on name.
