Our Verdict
Looks like this is different than the T-Mobile deal we previously posted. Will be interesting to see how often these types of deals come along now that you can’t regular redeem points for gift cards.

Got the email a few days ago. When entered the code received a message stating that all promo codes have been used. Believe it to be dead on arrival.

Same here. They basically lied to me to get me to sign up for their rewards program. Entered code. It prompted me to register for Samsung Rewards. I did. Then it said sorry, all offer codes have been claimed. What BS.

I got the email; I’m using a Galaxy S9 bought on Prime Day, upgraded from a Galaxy S8 I bought last year (also on Prime Day).
I initially ignored the email as well since I don’t use Uber, Grubhub, or Atom, but it seems they just give you the points to use as you please so I went back to claim them.
Strangely, the points aren’t showing up in Samsung Pay yet. For other Samsung promos I’ve done in the past points have always been credited right away.
Thinking I did something wrong I went back through the process again, but it says the code has already been used, which is correct. Guess I’ll just wait and see what happens.
Edited to add: Minutes after making this post (thankfully inside the edit window) the points showed up in Samsung pay. 🙂
All of the three choices (Uber, Grubhub, and Atom) have their certificate expired on 10/31. Another choice is $25 Samsung.com which expires on 12/31.

you can use it on grubhub or atom movie tickets too, it’s one of 3 options you can spend the points on.
Yeah believe me I am not complaining about free money. No Grubhub restaurants where I live or work but there are Uber Eats for some reason. Wouldn’t have any use for the movie tickets. Could use the Uber Eats at my work. No big deal can also save the points I’m sure something else may turn up maybe even some other new promotions.

The link is just the Samsung rewards website, which is quite general. The code is unique. If the email is lost, it would be unlikely for you o retrieve it.

Not only that- I’ve been ambassador for the company by using Samsung Pay, both on the phone and watch.
Feeling a little frustrated here… if I find out this was targeted at people with 2 year old phones who are about to renew and I’m not getting it because I upgrade annually I just might make the jump to Apple.

Samsung pay doesnt have to give you anything. Although you as the comsumer can choose to not use their product as I did when they got rid of gift card redemption options.
I mean you could say that about airlines too. They could snap their fingers and make any redemption ten million miles. Just because their program lets them doesn’t make it unbastardly.
