[Expired][Targeted] U.S. Bank Cards: Get 2,500 Points With Recurring Bill Payments

The Offer

Check your emails for the following offer from U.S. Bank (sender: 1800USBanks@email.usbank.com):

  • Enroll to earn an additional 2,500 points when you pay two or more recurring bills, like cell phone, utilities and internet, with your U.S. Bank business card by June 30, 2025.

The Fine Print

  • This offer runs April 1 – June 30, 2025 (promotion period), and you need to enroll by April 30, 2025. To be eligible for the offer, you must set up and pay two recurring bills with the same qualifying provider twice or two different qualifying providers by June 30, 2025. If you qualify, the 2,500 points award will be applied to your account 2-3 billing cycles after the end of the promotion period. The maximum number of points awards is one. This offer is not transferable. Your account must remain open and be in good standing (not past due or overlimit) to qualify. This offer may not apply if your credit card has changed to a different type of card within the last 12 weeks or changes before the points award is applied. U.S. Bank cannot control how merchants choose to identify their business and/or classify purchases and reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify. Contact your billers to learn what types of payments they accept; not all billers accept credit card payments. If you have any questions, call Cardmember Service at 866-485-4545.

Our Verdict

We’re hearing about this offer on various U.S. Bank business cards. Mine came on a Leverage card with an impending annual fee; I’ll probably give this offer a miss since I don’t know that the points will be there before I close out the card.

It should be possible to game this offer by making two payments now for $1, e.g. one for your internet and one for you gas, then do another $1 payment in a month on each of them. (It’s possible you don’t even have to wait between the payments.)

  • I tried two $1.xx payments to AT&T Fiber two weeks ago, but I haven't received any bonus yet.

  • [math is not that good with the offer starting on the 1st and offer ending though the third month, message retracted]

  • Targeted via email but I am about to close this card due the annual fee coming up

  • Targeted on a Business Triple Cash card that has about a month left on the SUB spending period.

  • US Bank keeps sending these type of promos, but I don't remember getting anything. Since this is $25, will track it better.

  • Anyone knows how long it takes to get the bonus points once the requirements are met? I did a couple of similar promo since last September, and I have yet to receive the points/statement credit.

    • I did a grocery offer from US Bank, was about the second statement after the promo ended. I did the purchase at the beginning so it felt long.

I'd contact them if you haven't gotten points from last year.

      • contacted CS and was told it would take them 4 weeks to respond to me in a letter.Sigh!

        • Make sure you check your Rewards Dollars. I did the $10 Spending Offer and was watching for a $10 statement credit. Turns out I had received the bonus but missed seeing it earlier because it was in the Rewards Dollars (and a Customer Service Rep did, too.)

          • Yes, I checked, nothing is there. Thanks for this anyway.
BTW, I was seeing the $10 credit for the $150 dining purchase offer up until several days ago and I didn't enroll. But now I am not seeing it anymore once I log in. Do you know if there is another place I can find it. These US Bank offers drive me crazy! Thanks

          • Maybe you saw the dining offer in the app? I have never seen a purchase offer on the desktop website; only offers for various new accounts. I have received purchase offers only via targeted emails. I didn't get an email for the dining offer.

I see now where it says "this is found on the banners above the dashboards where they normally advertise CD rates and credit cards."

          • yes, it's shown on the dashboard when I logged in on the desktop. But I can't find it now.

  • looks like we all applied this Leverage card at the similar time for that $900 bonus

  • I did two $10 payments for Internet provider, triggered the bonus after 1 month (Fidelity Visa)

  • Of course I don't get this offer, because I already use my US Bank Cash+ card for recurring utilities payments, to earn 5% cashback.

Banks have a habit of not giving targeted offers for types of purchases which a customer has already done recently.

The only offers US Bank ever gives me are for things I don't use the card for normally.
