Grocery offer is nice. If you don’t have a smartly checking account there are big bonuses available.

  • They are getting faster in their payment. Made the $135 grocery purchase on Jan 8 and show the $20 earned on Jan 10.

  • Anyone have issues with smart rewards showing up? I'm in primary tier since Sep 2024 and never have had smart rewards offer. At this point I'm thinking of trying to re-enroll.

    • Yes, I had to unenroll and reenroll to get the Primary Tier benefits properly applied to my accounts.

      • Were there any downsides to unenrolling and re-enrolling? I have been waiting for over a month and only got bumped up one tier when I should be several tiers higher.

    • Not just that, it’s also based on POST date, not transaction date and time. I got screwed over. I did a grocery run over 2 days ($165, $40, $55). They gave me the credit based on the 2nd days $55 purchase, not the first actual purchase of $165.

    • Thanks for the screenshot. I assumed that is where it would be but all I see are specific brand/store discounts, not generic category discounts.

What reward tier is your account in? It looks like I am still in the "Plus" tier even though I have over 100K in brokerage/deposits accounts to get the 4% CB for smartly visa.

      • Re-tiering only happens on the 1st of the month it seems, so if it's a tier thing, maybe you'll need to wait until Feb 1, 2025 to see the bonus if it's restricted to Premium and higher.

The 4% for Smartly (thankfully) gets applied sooner, so maybe that explains the discrepancy in your case.

      • I am in Pinnacle, and my wife is in Premium. We both see it on our accounts.

I see the specific store/brands as well. The generic ones (at least for me) were at the top level.

I thought I read that "Plus" ought to be able to see them as well.

    • Ok the hot linking may not work. On the right-side down down a bit, under "Cash-back Deals" click "View all deals"

  • FWIW - these higher deals are only for people who enrolled in their checking account in the free SMART Rewards program and have over $20k in qualifying assets.

    • Where do people see these US Bank offers? I enrolled in SMART Rewards last week and still don't see any offers section

      • I'm assuming there in the same spot as all the other cash back deals, you don't see any period? My qualifying balance for smart is still below the threshold, despite my qualifying balance for smartly being above 100k, so my offers are not as good as the ones referenced.

        • ah, that's it, I also have a business card. Is it possible to remove the card from the personal login and then get offers?

          • That’s the annoying thing about US Bank, there isn’t a way to separate them. I found that out when I got a personal account and all of my biz stuff came in when I created a personal log in. Spent a long time on the phone with them with no result, they say it can’t be done even though I have a separate biz log in.

    • There are a number of other ways to also participate, being a veteran or in the military or over 65 as examples.

  • Is this one of those things I can't get if I have a business account? Read somewhere my biz account was preventing me from seeing personal offers.

    • I know if you have a business credit card and personal credit card you can't, but have never heard if you had a business account (checking) if that would preclude you from participating (terms only mention the business credit card).

You'd still need a personal credit card and the Bank Smartly checking though if you had a business checking account.

      • Have all the above. A biz card/checking account and personal card/Smartly checking. So it sounds like I’ve read, no personal offers if I have a biz account. Thanks.
