- United is offering some members up to 10,000 miles when they complete offers on United MileagePlus X app. Tiers are as follows:
- Complete 1st offer, get 1,000 miles
- Complete 2nd offer, get 1,500 additional miles
- Complete 3rd offer, get 2,000 additional miles
- Complete 4th offer, get 2,500 additional miles
- Complete 5th offer, get 3,000 additional miles
The Fine Print
- To be eligible for this bonus offer, you must be a United Chase Visa Cardmember during the promotion period August 1, 2020 to August 31, 2020.
- Delays by the merchant, such as shipping, could extend the transaction date beyond the offer period.
- You will qualify for and receive bonus miles if you are enrolled in the United Visa Rewards program via the MileagePlus X app and complete at least one offer.
- To complete an offer, you must first view the offer in the MileagePlus X app and then make a purchase with your linked credit card per the terms of the offer.
- Offers can be viewed in the MileagePlus X app after enrollment.
- Purchases posted to your account with a transaction date between August 1, 2020 and August 31, 2020 are eligible for this offer.
- Please allow 6–8 weeks after the United Visa Rewards holiday promotion ends on August 31, 2020 for bonus miles to post to your MileagePlus account.
- Bonus Miles will post directly to your MileagePlus account and will not appear on your credit card statement
Our Verdict
They have had similar deals in the past, but for less miles. Seems like a great deal if targeted. GC Galore points out some of the merchants listed sell gift cards, just make sure not to buy ones processed by cashstar as those won’t trigger this offer.

Sears donations not working? I donated $2 via Sears, got the offer to pending status, and then it dropped off today... now I need to find a 5th offer to use today and hope it gets dated correctly!

Is hsn $1 donating no longer working now?

Hi, did yours include any tax (so to make it exceed $1?) I also tried 0.99 with gamestop and it was $0.99 exact; 3 days past and still don't see it under "Completed Offers". How long did it take for yours to post?

It was 1.06 with tax. Confirmation was received immediately, offer is marked as completed but miles are still pending 3 days later.

Apart from this, basically all you did was go to the Gamestop offer, pull up and search for a low priced item and pay with the linked UA card, correct?

Was there a reason to do $2 at Sears? I donated $1 and it didn't show as completed instantly like $1 at HSN.

Just a heads up for anyone in the same situation (this is probably known and I'm just stupid): You need to go into your settings and allow the app to use your location for these United Visa Offers to show. I kept wondering why I would never see any offers but I was seeing the banner for the 10k points in this post.
Note this promo period was extended, it runs 8/1 - 10/31 (but it's the same promo, you don't get to do it twice)
