Our Verdict
This offer comes and goes multiple times per year it seems, it was mostly recently offered from March 3rd till March 31st. You can redeem easy rewards points for a statement credit (1¢ a piece), which means the cards are basically identical. There is one major difference though, easy rewards can be redeemed online while you’ll need to call in to redeem with the cash rewards card.
It’s important to note that TD Bank have recently been shutting down people that abuse the 5% categories, so that’s worth keeping in mind. That being said a $200 cash bonus is still very competitive (best cash bonuses can be viewed here), the only problem is the requirement of having a checking account with them. At the moment they don’t currently offer any bonus on any of their banking accounts. TD Bank also offer the Aeroplan card which comes with a 25,000 point bonus.
