Update 1/28: Bonus has been reduced to $200

Bonus is back, I don’t see any end date listed.

Bonus is back and valid until October 31st, 2018. Hat tip to reader bholden1 .

Reposting again as bonus has been increased to $200 from $150. New offer ends on March 5th, 2018. Hat tip to reader Time Travelling & Danny Deal Guru

Reposting because the card now earns 3% cash back on dining purchases as well now and 2% back on groceries (previously it was 2% on restaurants and 1% on all other purchases)

Our Verdict

Standard bonus on this card is $100, although it frequently increases to $150 after $1,500 in spend. Previous best bonus was $200 after $1,500 in spend so this offer is better than that. I’d only recommend this offer if you struggle meeting minimum spend requirements and the $500 spend is more attractive to you. We’ve updated and added this to our list of the best cash sign up bonuses.

I opened the card when the bonus was 5% cashback for gas. It stacks with the category cashback (3% gas in my case) for a total of 7% cashback. TD calculates the cashback as 1% base + 2% for the top category + 4% for the promotion.

$150 bonus on $500 spend, 5% cash back on 6 months/$6K gas purchases in addition to the 3% and 2% categories (not sure if it stacks when gas is the rotating category). Cash back must be redeemed in increments of $25 (any amount divisible by 25) and can be direct deposited to an external bank.

Sorry, correction: you must have at least $25 to redeem cash back (it doesn’t need to be in increments of $25). For example $28.31 is fine to redeem.

P2 received a Pre-Selected mailer for this, along with a $200 SUB on $500 in spend. The language seems targeted and it lasts until 1/6/2022.

They added a foreign transaction fee recently. Shows up in the card agreement even though the website still says “$0”. Just FYI for anyone who happens to look here.

Yep, Per my Customer service phone call all TD credit cards now have a 3% foreign transaction fee on them as of March 2021. A heads up in the mail or email would have been nice.

We use this card for restaurants only. Got $150 sign up after $500 at the time.

They’ve been lobbying me hard for this by mail. I’ve gotten a bonus for this card previously, and the fine print says that I shouldn’t be eligible, but customer service has assured me in writing that I am. I signed up last night and got approved immediately, so hopefully they’re as good as their word.

I closed my previous card about a year ago, but still have an active TD checking account and home equity line of credit ($0 balance, paid off just last week, officially debt free now!).

Public offer is currently $200 earned (20,000 points) after spending $500 in first 90 days. In branch, they add a $25 credit when $25 is spent on dining by 9/30/2019 (fineprint says credit will post within 5 days of qualified purchase).

Even though I have this card, they keep offering this on my checking account. Is there a limit how many you can have?
