Our Verdict
Nice deal for stocking up on Uber gift cards or any of the other ones you can use. Looks like it’s a generic coupon that’ll work anywhere. Also, the fine print indicates there isn’t any limit to the offer if the store allows it. Not sure if you need to bring something to the cashier of they just input the code.

The cashier will scan the yellow coupon after GC is scanned. If one wants another deal, use another yellow and go through another line. As HEB shoppers know, the coupons are available in a large display in the store.
Can you buy gift cards with a CC at HEB? My niece tried to get me Gift of College gift cards there... They said debit or cash only. Manger confirmed. Anyone have a different experience?
Last Discover 5% at grocery, I purchased 6x $500 in one transaction, with split payment across 2 Discover cards to maximize the CB offer. No issues... not even a blink or side-eye.
Have bought $500 VGC with a credit card, however that was well over a year ago. I haven't seen the VCGs there in a long time either though.

How much were you buying? She went to the counter with 8 $500 gift of college.... Might have caused them to deny it. Shes an AU for me. Name matched the ID and whatnot.
HEB has a max of $1000 total including fees on variable gift cards per transaction
You would just take multiples of the coupon to the register and they scan each coupon for however many times you want to activate the offer.
