  •  Citi declined my Premier card transaction and said they don't work with this merchant. Is this true?

  • Do they blacklist the card in case of fraud alert? Tried buying a virtual Visa card with CIC and Chase rejected charge. Subsequent tries did not work and it seems they didn't even ty to run the card.

    I tried PayPal but what they are doing is fishy. I get the PayPal pop-up where I select the card and click purchase but after that their main page with embedded iframe (?) asks my paypal user name as if I'm not logged into paypal. Wtf?

    • Nothing like spending 50 minutes on the call with Chase fraud dept. Jesus Christ!

      In the end agent was clueless why it doesn't work. He just mentioned that it is going through and thegiftcardshop is then refunding it. Magically it worked through paypal this time as they probably cleared some fraud alerts while I was on the call.

      This transaction was not worth it in the end due to time wasted.

  • comparing with last year, things are getting worse, last year 100% and no Shipping cost!

      • My bad. Copy/paste fail. They don't allow copying the card number so I had a different card number in clipboard.
        Worked as debit on pay1040. I bought virtual visa.

        • Did you successfully completed the transaction? I have a counter DP, so I tried Pay1040 and ACI Payments, they did automatically detect the card as debit at final page, however both transactions failed for authorization issue. PayUSAtax seems to have a different system, they ask you to choose debit or credit, when I chose debit, it returned "Card is not a debit card". I did not try to go credit route for all 3 of them.

  • shipping $11. eesh kills the deal for MS. can use online, but then you can just use the same credit card since you're not saving anything? i guess if you just want to prepay spend to hit minimum spend

    • Did you ever hear about the bank robbers who put lemon juice on their faces because they believed it would make them invisible to the cameras? This comment is the MS equivalent of that.

  • Of interest, it didn't post as online shopping on Bank of America,so I only got 1.75% instead of the 5.25% I was expecting. Something to keep in mind.

  • Placed an order on the 8th, arrived in 4 days. Only half of what I ordered came in the mail.... yikes
