Our Verdict
Normally there is a $300 deal, but that is only available in selected states in the fine print. This time there is no location restriction in the fine print, so it’ll be interesting to see what states this bonus is open to. Fingers crossed it’s available nationwide. If that’s the case we will be adding it to the best checking bonuses. It’s worth checking to see if you live in an area that is usually targeted for the $300 deal as well, if so I’d wait for one of those to come along.

DP:
3/1: Opened Account (had issues with online login because of Laurel Road account); Took a call and a few days to sort out…
3/22: REAL DD $500
4/1: “Gift from Key Bank”, $200 (OHIO)
4/10: $500 Fidelity CM push (coded as “Fid Bkg Svc Llc Moneyline” deposit). Then today I received a phone call from the bank wanting me to call them back. Anyone else have this happen? Hopefully I get the bonus.
Same thing happened to me with 5/3 bank, so I ended having a real DD setup, and I have STILL gotten voicemails asking me to call them. What’s with all the phone calls?!!!
Anyone able to open this account in Florida? I’m in northeast FL, to be precise, wondering if it’s worth a try.
3/10/24- Account opened online
3/12/24- $10 funding deposit
3/21/24- $500.46 pushed from Fidelity Cash Management Account (Key bank coded as “Direct Deposit, Fid Bkg Svc Llc Moneyline”)
4/1/24- $200 dollar bonus posted
So, something weird happened to me. I just got two copies of the same letter that say my application was rejected due to Chex. The thing is: I haven’t applied to Keybank. At least, not recently. I tried two years ago. I also have a Laurel Road account that I’ve had a couple years.
I have OnAlert set up, which should alert me to any new bank account opening attempts. I also requested my Chex report which shows nothing. I’m pretty stumped. Should I dig more into it or maybe it’s just some weird glitch?
I had to open in branch but was a day late on the previous $300 bonus, but the kind teller found a $200 bonus and signed me up for that one instead.
It was slightly different terms than the linked DOC post, requiring (2) dd’s of $1000.
Success pushing from Fidelity CMA.
Second Key bonus, also did Laurel Road, in Key Bank footprint.
I was able to open online with my NYC address
CA zip code: “Because of the state you live in, you’ll need to visit a branch so we can discuss your options in person.”
Tried following your link on desktop and it said there is no offer. Tried click it on mobile and was able to apply. Application process was a bit annoying on mobile, but I got through it.
It didn’t link to my other bank either during the application process or once I logged into the account. I will fund the $10 minimum by pushing it in.
I have a Laurel road checking and savings account. Got that 1.5 years ago because of the bonus. Does that interfere with the Keybank bonus. Just asking because both banks are the same company. Thanks!
I have had both before
You can do both; my Key login for my newest successful bonus is my old LR login (also a successful bonus).
