WeBull Brokerage Bonus: Up To $30,000 Bonus + 8.1% APY + WSJ Sub. (New/Exist. Customers)

Update 5/20/25: Reposting as a reader found another link which is for new members which also add a potential 8.1% APY deal, see below. I think everyone should be eligible for this offer, but you have to find the invitation. YMMV.

The Offer

WeBull is offering customers the following three deals for depositing new cash or transferring over funds/stocks from an outside brokerage via ACATS. Note: You must enroll in the offer first.

  1. Make a deposit of $100 or more during the Offer period & get a 30-day Premium Voucher.
  2. Deposit More, Earn More:
    • Get $200 with $2,000 deposit
    • Get $400 with $10,001 deposit
    • Get $750 with $25,001 deposit
    • Get $2,000 with $100,001 deposit
    • Get $10,000 with $1,000,001 deposit
    • Get $30,000 with $5,000,001 deposit
  3. Get a free 12-month WSJ subscription when your Net Qualifying Funding is $10,000 or more.

There’s a fourth deal available for new customers which includes either someone who signs up now or who already signed up but never made a deposit:

  • Get 4% boost on uninvested cash for 90 days on up to $50,000 for WeBull Premium members. For WeBull Premium members the base rate is 4.1% and the boost gets you to 8.1%. (Non-subscribers have a smaller offer which isn’t too interesting.)

These offers are all valid May 20 – June 30, 2025.

Our Verdict

This new offer has similar tiers to what we’ve seen in the past from WeBull. The lower tiers are more interesting now, e.g. $2,000 deposit of cash or ACAT transfer of funds can get you $200. I like that WeBull deposits it in installments so that you can pull out at any time and just forfeit the remainder of the bonus. The higher tiers are interesting as well.

For new members who have WeBull Premium, the 8.1% APY rate for 90 days is a nice perk. I’d consider that like an added $500 bonus for someone who has $50k cash to put in a high yield savings account.

  • I would totally jump on this if WeBull wasn't known for totally screwing up cost basis. Can't risk it.

  • Does the new money have to come from another brokerage account? Banking accounts don't qualify?

  • I emailed support and they confirmed I am eligible and enrolled in the 7 year promotion.

Existing customer who participated in past promotion in 2020

  • I was able to hit enroll now, but how do I know I actually it is enrolled, because it seems that I can go back and it enroll now again and again and each time, it keep telling that you are in deposit now, which seems to be strange

  • "For the avoidance of doubt, if an Eligible Customer withdraws or transfers assets from another account in good standing with Webull and deposits or transfers all or any portion of such assets to their Webull Account, or makes a NON-ACAT transfer from an institution other than Webull, such deposit or transfer will not be deemed a “Funding” for the purpose of these terms and conditions.”

WTF. No idea what they mean here.

    • It seems you can't circle back or rotate assets that are currently with WeBull.

    • It likely means that an ACH transfer from a bank or a transfer from another Webull account is not a qualifying deposit. It needs to be an ACAT from another brokerage firm.

    • IDK, I thought the terms were clear that cash deposits from an outside institution count. Maybe they mean that the cash deposit has to be initiated from within WeBull. Hmm.
(The first part is clear that they are not allowing transfers from WeBull to WeBull. Funds need to come from outside.)

      • It sounds like the deposit needs initiated from WeBull.

        I also see this:

“*Net Qualifying Funding Amount (NQFA) = Deposits + Transfers In – Withdrawals/Transfers Out during the offer period. Only individual Cash and Margin accounts are eligible. Joint accounts, event accounts, futures accounts, advisor accounts, and IRA accounts are excluded.

The initial deposit counts toward the NQFA.

For example, if a user makes an initial deposit of $100, they will receive 30 days of Premium access and a $10 bonus. By continuing to deposit, they may qualify for additional bonuses”

    • Likely yes. But that's will still yield only the base rate of 4.1% post 90 days

So, either have that premium for 90 days, post offer end date, and get SGOV for the rest of 9 months. This will get you 8.1 for 90 days and SGOV for reminder instead of 0.5% base rate.

      ---

If your Net Qualifying Funding amount is $2,000 or more, you will receive the APY Booster card within 5 business days after July 9, 2025.

The APY rate you receive depends on your Premium subscription status as of July 9:

      - 3.5% if you're not a Premium subscriber
      - 4.0% if you are a Premium subscriber

If you activate a 30-day Premium voucher before July 9, you’ll be considered a Premium subscriber for this offer.

  • Chatted with chat on this & last promotion.

Confirming you CAN withdraw cash whenever and forfeit remainder of bonus.
Progress for payout is 12 equal payments, you can see progress so far under the "Rewards" tab on the Account page on the app.

App works 10x better than desktop for any promotions like this, if you're getting errors on desktop try the app.

You CAN participate in this promotion if you have already participated in other similar promotions, as long as it is new funds. Will likely take my rainy day funds from HYSA and move here to a cash account since they offer 3.1% + the promotional funds.

  • Got this message "Sorry, you cannot participate in this promotion. Please check out other ongoing promotions in the Promotion Center. Emailed Webull and got this reply. "'You must be a new/unfunded client to be eligible for that promotion." Which I know is BS, as I know someone neither new nor unfunded got successfully enrolled.

  • I got the "Sorry, you cannot participate in this promotion" message when trying to enroll from the desktop website, but it looks like I was able to be properly enrolled when attempting the same from the Promotion Center on the mobile app.
