  • I think the deal is officially dead - not seeing it pop up on my Wendy's App anymore. Thanks for all the free food, DoC and Wendy's!

  • strange. I scanned DOC's image and get an error message says "Oops! This is not eligible for this promotion. "

  • We've been getting these free coupons across 3 phones (family of 5). The assistant manager at one places knows us and just laughs when he sees a dozen mobile orders hit the screen.

    The staff at another place shut us down after placing 12 mobile orders (including one that we paid for using a coupon free large fries with any purchase such as $.99 burger purchase). It's not clear if we're banned from redeeming any more app coupon orders ever at that branch or if we have to be "reasonable". They didn't seem to care that there were five of us dining in and that we had 3 people with the apps, and paid for 1 order. Something about "clogging up their system" even though it was after 1 and restaurant was mostly empty. They "called corporate" - whatever that means. I'm definitely going back with just me and my wife at some point to redeem some more :)

    Just an FYI for those redeeming a lot of coupons at 1 time, such as for a big family. It might have worked better if we slowed the pace a bit and placed 2-4 orders, then gave it a break then place a few more, rinse repeat. Enjoy that nice slow 1-2 hour Wendy's lunch with a constant stream of food coming out in little dribbles.

  • Downloading doc's image from the link then uploading via the Wendy's app worked for me, if you're having issues or aren't buying anything from Wendy's currently.

  • I only noticed the link to the pic of the code to scan yesterday *sigh*. But I got a small fries and double stack yesterday and today. Happy New Year DoC!

  • I found this promotion to be a nightmare. When I tried mobile ordering at the first restaurant they got angry and told me I needed to wait at the back of a long line like everyone else. I refused and eventually got my food. I tried mobile ordering at another restaurant and the order never came through. I had to call corporate to get my money refunded. I tried to redeem one of my free offers at yet another restaurant and they couldn't scan the bar code. The manager ended up just giving it to me for free. I'm not bothering with their app again.

    • Strange. I haven't had any issue with the app and I had a mobile order to 3 different locations. Each time it has been very quick and my order is ready in less than 5 mins.

  • I tried many times yesterday and today.
    It always tell me “This scan is not valid”
    I did click the link in the poster to get the image, seems not working now.

    Anyone can share a image which can work?

    • There's a link in the rules for free alternate method of entry (I did it from a browser on a desktop computer; the Wendy's app on my phone has problems and doesn't even show me a button to press to scan). But when entering the alternate way, I think they send a coupon to you in the mail for your prize.

        Redemption Instructions

  • Been doing this for the past few weeks, so far got:

    7x Small Soft Drink
    3x Small Fry
    3x Small Frosty
    4x Double Stack
    1x Dave's Single

    The Double Stack is actually fairly small because it's a value meal burger, not a regular one. Still, free is free!

      • I realized this bit of magic. Add the veggies and it's a borderline "premium" fast food burger. Not bad at all. Their various sauces are good too. Chipotle something-or-other is great.

    • Just went again today for a free Spicy Chicken and a free Chocolate Frosty (using 2 phones with clipped coupons).

      So far I have redeemed at least 5 of each of the burgers (Spicy Chicken, Doubles and Singles) and a ton of the Frosty's (like to semi-freeze them and then eat them like a soft ice-cream :) )

      Not even using the rest of the coupon items...

  • So, for a simpleton like myself, please explain how for "no purchase necessary" I can get a code to scan....

    • Look at the post under "Our Verdict". Probably need to open it on a separate device to take a pic with your phone.

      After I redeemed the first offer I saved the Wendy's bag with the code and have been using that instead. Not all locations seem to always have the special bags or cups though.
