  • This promotional offer is valid for a limited time only. The offer is limited to one per customer and account. Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time. This offer may not be resold, is nontransferable, is not redeemable for cash, and is void where prohibited by law and in case of fraud. This offer may not be combined with other offers.

Our Verdict

To get this offer to appear it might help to disable the one click setting if you have it enabled and then open the Amazon app, refreshing the home page in app might also help. There is also a similar deal with Citi. There are so many ways to save money on Amazon like this and that’s why we created this dedicated page to list them all. We will add this promotion to this page. As always a big thanks to anybody who uses our links, just remember you could be earning 3x JetBlue points instead.

I saw the ad on website. I had 1-click off, but Chase Amazon card was default card. It wouldn’t work, received non-Chase card error. I changed to the other cc on file (which really wasn’t Chase). Still didn’t work. Then I added Freedom Chase card and it worked. Has anyone had success with this offer with Amazon Chase card?

I refreshed probably 100+ times while idly watching TV. Tried a few dozen on phone app and ipad app, and the rest through the website. Was about to give up when it appeared on the main desktop website. I noticed that the smile.amazon.com site doesn’t include the same ad spots as the basic amazon.com, so I was refreshing amazon.com.

I had been doing it many times without having a Chase card added as a payment form in Amazon at all. I then tried adding a Chase card but making sure it wasn’t set to be the one-click payment option. After about 20 more refreshes it appeared. Good luck!

Jeff, did you add a Chase Amazon card as a payment or another Chase card? Thanks.

Just saw the ad on the actual website, not in the app. Even though going through the direct link to the offer first said I’m not eligible.

*I’ll clarify that clicking through that ad on the website made me eligible. I added a Chase card as a 1-click preference and now have the $10 credit available.

I tried over and over on the Amazon app the other day, never got the ad to come up. Finally gave up.

Then today, after getting the BJ’s $10 off $50 deal, there it was in my browser. So I added my Chase Freedom and confirmed that I now get $10 off on the checkout screen when selecting it. Interesting that the co-branded Chase Amazon Visa wasn’t eligible (either that or it couldn’t be whatever card was previously selected).

I think it’s not enough to just “disable 1 click settings”, you also have to deselect a chase card as your default payment option.

I have 1-click turned off, but on the 1-click options menu, even when it’s off, there’s a section called “Default 1-click settings and payment method preferences”

I had 1-click turned off, but a chase card still set as my default payment method here. I went through the app until I was served the advertisement but when I tried to enroll it refused me as I “already used this card as a 1-click purchase option”.

I changed my default to amex, came back an hour later and was served the ad again, but this time it worked! Thanks.

Where exactly on the app does this ad come up? When I open the Amazon Shopping app, it first shows me “Buy 2 Save $100 echo” and then below that (but above “Your Recommendations” it shows me random banners for food, pet food, etc [i’m presuming based on previous purchasing habits]. The echo ad is always there, the ad below that switches with every refresh but I never see anything related to payment method, etc. Am I in the right place? Thanks!

PS BTW, I didn’t have a Chase card linked to the account previously, so I just added that payment method. I’m continuing to refresh, but no dice. Any advice appreciated.

Eileen, I’ve been going through the same sequence with no luck. Maybe it only works for people who previously had the card linked to their accounts? I must have refreshed 50 times by now with no luck.

There is *Direct link to offer* at the very beginning of this article.
When I click it I get “Sorry, your request for this promotion is not eligible.” on Amazon… I never had one click before.. and only chase card linked there is amazon chase.. may be it not eligible.. I will keep trying to reload, but doubt.

I got it to work! Had the same question as you, where does this ad come up? I refreshed a ton of times in app and on the desktop homepage, always only looking at the viewable section at the top of the page. By a stroke of luck, scrolled down, and found it halfway down the homepage along the right side, at the bottom of the “ads” that appear there (Treasure Truck, ads for Amazon Original series, etc.).

By the way, here was my process:
1) Didn’t currently have a Chase card in my Amazon payment settings (but had one previously)
2) Turned off one-click for all devices
3) Added a Chase card, but didn’t click the use across Amazon button
4) Refreshed the app and desktop home pages a bunch of times until I found the ad for this halfway down on the right of the desktop home page.

The article says to do this on the Amazon app. Were you able to do all of this on the desktop?

You have to buy an item sold and shipped by Amazon. I did that and it worked.

Where exactly did it show? On the last page before you click “Place Order” where it has the breakdown of S&H, tax, payment method, etc? I added my Chase Sapphire Reserve CC and it said credit applied. I then tested with an item that was sold and shipped by Amazon, but didn’t see the credit applied anywhere.

I went through the process with the app and got a message saying “The credit has already been applied to your Amazon account. However, when I go to place an order either with the app or the website the credit doesn’t show.

I have the same issue. I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t use the citi $5 offer yet. Did you figure out how to redeem the $10 credit?
