[YMMV] Bilt Mastercard: Request Credit Limit Increase & Earn 5x Points For 5 Days

The Offer

  • Bilt Mastercard is offering some cardholders 5x points for 5 days when you request a credit limit increase

Our Verdict

There is a limit of 10,000 bonus points (this is $2,500 in spend). Not everybody will get this offer unfortunately but might be worth it if you have some big purchases coming up.

  • Older post I know, but as I said before I got the 5x bonus when I increased my limit by $3000. They then extended it for 30 days on restaurants and grocery stores.

But then it occurred to me, since restaurants already get 3x on this card, the bonus is only 2 points more. That means the $2500 in spend is not a fixed number since not all spend would be on 1x categories and will be a YMMV situation. (possible $5000 spend if all spend was at restaurants.)

  • I got the 5x bonus email today after raising my limit yesterday by $3000. I DID NOT get the bonus when I signed up for the card.

  • I got this targeted offer last month around Feb 15. They increased my credit limit automatically and gave 5X points for the next 5 days on all purchases. Later, I got 5X points only for Groceries, Dining and Gas till 03/01.

    So, 02/15 to 02/20 - 5X on all purchases.
02/21 to 03/01 - 5X on Dining, Groceries and Gas.

  • I called for a credit line increase, I asked for 5k more than my current limit, No pulls and they said they would send me a letter. I'm guessing it was flat out declined

  • Is it automated or you have to speak to agent when calling? Would be nice to just click the button and yes or no lol!

  • Wouldn't it be best to wait til before the end of the month to hit the spend on the 1st?

  • It may be a hard pull

They'll give you a 5x GGR for 30 days after the 5 days ends as well

  • Post that they also sent me GGR (gas, grocery, rest) offer for 5x points even though it wasn't useful as i had same offer via SYW.

    • No. I read that BILT Rewards MasterCard changed this policy. You could make tax payments in the past. I suggest asking the BILT agent when you contact them to verify.
