I got spend $1500 get 1000 bonus. But I got it just after being approved for a new card where I have to do $3000 to get 50000 bonus in the same 3-month period, so you can guess which one I’m giving priority and which one I’m likely to ignore (but I can always register by June 1 for my “timid” United offer if for some reason by then I can see that I have $4500 of total spend in the next 3 months).
Does the offer specifically say $1500 additional spend or otherwise specify that it cant be completed concurrently with other promotional offers, or do you think they would count the bonus spend?
You misunderstood. I wasn’t saying anything about a relationship between these offers. (The other offer is not for a UA card, it’s simply another new-for-me card that I signed up for last weekend and got approved for a couple days later.)
I simply meant that I don’t expect to have $4500 total card spend in the next 3 months. (I don’t do MS, I only do signup bonuses that I can achieve with “natural” spend.)
So the personal choice for me, with only a bit over $3000 total card spend expected in the next 3 months, is to put that spend where it will get me the most value in return, and this UA existing card offer is a comparatively low value (compared to a good signup bonus spend offer). That’s all I was saying.

No offer on my Explorer card.
1000 miles for $1000 in spend, on my old UA Select VISA. The T&C promise that the points will post 6-8 weeks after the end of the promo, which is Jun 30, I plan to cancel the card in May, so it will remain in the sock drawer.
Mine is Spend $500 … get 1,000 bonus miles which equates to 3x. Definitely will do if any spending gets me less than 3x.
