Our Verdict
Some of the easier partners are:
- Delta’s shopping portal
- Delta’s dining program (currently there is a 3,000 point bonus as well, this would bump it to 4,000)
- American Express Delta credit cards (current best offer here)
- AirBnB
- Lyft
- SPG (do transfers work? If so, transfer 1,500 points & get 2,500 miles. Yes they do)
- Membership Rewards (transfers did work previously)
This is the third time they have done this (first, second).
Hat tip to readers Mike H, Jeff L & jamaicantraveller
Can confirm that SPG transfers work, and trigger the 1k bonus.
(You had put this as a question in your article)
Thanks, Jim. Updated
Do you get the bonus miles for each different restaurant you go to in Skymiles dining or just one? Same question for the shopping portal – is it just one bonus for using the portal or one for each different store?
You have DINING and SKYMILES DINING – what is the difference please? S/O received this one meaning that a dining registration may have to be created.
I received the other.
They are the same, I’ve removed dining
Assume this is a targeted offer
Yup, I tagged it YMMV because you can check to see if you’re targeted.
Do car partners count separately? Lyft, Alamo, Supershuttle, etc? Any DP’s from past promos?
Any speculation/data points re: whether Membership Rewards and Delta Amex would count as different partners? On the one hand, I could argue that they are different programs and therefore should count separately. On the other hand, they are both ultimately managed by American Express…
Interesting observation. Amex purchases the miles from Delta and the Delta decides how fast to devaluate the Skypesos inside of limits. They probably have a confidential agreement which limits how fast Delta is allowed to devaluate the Skypesos. Any other opinions?
Same, whoops error. I participated in the last one earlier this years so possibly it makes me ineligible for this promo?
I got an email titled “You’ve Been Selected For This Private Offer”
“Get a one-time bonus of 2,500 miles when you earn miles with both Airbnb and Lyft by December 31, 2017. Or, get 1,000 bonus miles if you earn miles with just one.”

That link also includes your Delta account #. Not sure how safe it is to display it.
I’ve edited your link to remove your Delta Skymiles
I got this one too

Clicking that link and entering my SM number gets me:
Whoops! You are not eligible to participate in this promotion. Please check out our other great offers on the My Promotions page.
