Update 7/11/25: A lot more people seeing this offer, maybe it’s available for everyone, if you can find it. I just got it as a interstitial page after logging into my Citi account. It only took a minute or two to go through the prompts. I also clicked through to a merchant and then got an email confirmation that the extension enrollment was completed. Some hours later I got an email confirmation of a pending statement credit of $10 on my Custom Cash card.

The Offer

- Enjoy a one-time $10 statement credit when you enroll in Citi Shop and download the extension on your browser or iOS device. To ensure you receive your bonus, make sure you are signed in to the extension. You will have access to money-saving offers at over 5,000 online merchants you already love to shop at.
- Offer ends July 20, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Our Verdict
There isn’t any purchase requirement. It should be possible to download the extension and delete it soon-after, and still be eligible for the bonus. Some time after downloading the extension, you should get an email from Citi confirming that the statement credit will be coming.
This offer is showing on some Citi cards. Rewards & Offers > Offers for You and look for the Citi Shop offer. Others mention this link. I got it as an interstitial page upon Citi cards login.

Hopefully I get my $10!
can you please define disturbing?
Update, got confirmation email: "Pending Statement Credit $10.00"
Are we safe to uninstall the extension if/after receiving notification of the $10 pending?
I got a notice about it from Citi as soon as I logged in, but I do all my banking and shopping logins in Firefox, where my unique-to-each-website login passwords have been protected by a "master password" since decades ago in the early days of Netscape, which later turned into Firefox.
Only once I started to install it did it say I had to do in Chrome (it didn't even mention Edge as an option on that promo page that Citi sent me to), and to "install Chrome" even though I already have Chrome installed.
So I did a one-time login to Citi in Chrome and installed it, and got a confirmation email from Citi.
But I doubt I'll ever actually use it, since I do all my shopping on Firefox, and in any case mostly just buy stuff from Amazon, not most other retailers.
At least that makes for easy $10 credit at some point.
I also use Firefox as my primary browser. I didn't want the extension on Firefox and don't have Chrome installed, so I tried on Edge and it worked. Signed in and got the confirmation email.
I use Firefox for a few sites that don't work well in Chrome. However, I generally prefer Chrome. What do you dislike about Chrome?
"What do you dislike about Chrome?"
Google?
Does Chrome now have a master password to protect your saved passwords? Last I heard it still didn't, while Firefox has had a master password to protect your saved passwords since the Netscape days, many decades ago. In case you're not aware, Firefox evolved from Netscape.
So I don't dislike Chrome, but I don't generally use it for websites where I need to log in with a password, since for security for decades I've been using a different password for every website, and thus I can't remember all those passwords, and rely on my Firefox browser to securely remember them.
And for places where I regularly shop online, I typically need to log in with a password.
I have no idea as I don't save my passwords in specific browsers.
It's interesting that Firefox evolved from Netscape as I wasn't aware of that. I did used to use Netscape back in the day.
Just wanted to let everyone know that it took about three hours from receipt of the 'confirmation of enrollment' email to receive the 'confirmation of Citi Shop Bonus' email. The only 'bad' news is that, according to the email, it may take 61 to 180 days to process the credit. I'll gladly wait.
I never got the email confirming I earned the $10 (just the email confirming enrollment) but when I log in here, it shows the bonus as pending - Citibank Online - Citi Shop (https://online.citi.com/US/ag/products-offers/citishop)
Ditto here!
Me too. So when will we receive the $10, and when can we uninstall the extension?
Vivaldi and Firefox don't work. I used Edge. I guess this is one data point for Microsoft bundling Edge with Windows.
I had never heard of Vivaldi so I just Binged it. How do you like it?

I got a confirmation email from Citi for enrollent for Shop Citi. However I did NOT get an email for the $10 bonus confirmation and did NOT see it in the rewards. Could someone please advise?
I added the extension because I was prompted for the offer when I logged into my Citi Account. Thanks.
Do you have more than one Citi card? If so, check which card is targeted for the offer and then enroll that one (you can only have one card enrolled at a time, so you might have to unenroll the other one.)
Try going to one of the sites they list and activating an offer and then give it a few hours. Seems to be required per #2094030
I didn't activate an offer and still received the confirmation email about the pending $10 credit. The terms don't mention that you have to do that
That's not necessary.
Weird despite being targeted via email and also in app and installing on chrome and iOS I don’t see any $10 pending anywhere nor did I get an email confirming that $10 is pending
It came 6 hours later fyi
I got the offer on both Citi Custom Cash cards. Enrolled on Chrome and Edge. Just waiting for the statement credit emails...
@guest_2094646,
Based on @guest_2094966's DP, it seems that I owe you an apology for this comment: #2094658!
If I don't see the $10 Citi Shop offer with my Citi credit card offers, does that mean I'm out of luck? I have the Citi Custom Cash & the Citi Costco cards, and neither mentions anything about $10 for signing up for CIti Shop (it just says to enroll/download)
Did you follow the steps that I laid out here: "I then went to “Rewards & Offers” and then “Offers for You” and found the “Citi Shop” offer on 1 of my 4 Citi cards."? If you did that and the offer didn't appear, then you probably weren't targeted for the offer.
If I was you, I would check back every so often and see if you get targeted for the $10 promo.
BTW, I logged in this morning in Edge and the pop-up again didn't re-appear. I decided to bite the bullet and sign up anyway from the "Offers for You" section. I received the confirmation email from Citi < 2 hours after installing the extension in Edge.
@guest_2094635,
To be clear, the $10 offer only appeared in the pop-up that I mentioned in my linked comment. The offer in the "Offers for You" section didn't mention the $10 offer at all.
That's why I didn't sign up yesterday. However, others reported receiving the confirmation email using the steps that I laid out and not receiving the pop-up so that's why I went through with it today.
If you see a "Citi Shop" offer in the "Offers for You" section for 1 of your 2 cards, you should be good to go for the credit.
