[Expired] [YMMV] Kroger: Exchange 100 Fuel Points & Save $0.75 On Groceries

Deal has ended, click here to view more Kroger deals.

The Offer

  • Kroger has a coupon where you can save $0.75 on groceries for every 100 in fuel points

The Fine Print

  • Valid until June 30th, 2020

Our Verdict

Normally 100 fuel points = 10¢ off per gallon (up to $1 off per gallon). That’s probably a better deal for most people, but I guess if you have more fuel points than you’ll be able to use then this could be a useful offer.

  • For using fuel points I fill up my car and then without putting the nozzle back, my daughter pulls up and fills up her car so the fuel points work out to save us quite a bit.

  • With 100 fuel points getting you 10¢ off per gallon, the break even point is 7.5 gallons. I think most vehicles have a large than a seven-and-a-half gallon tank.

But yeah, if I had more fuel points than I'd be able to use, then I'd go ahead and use this. But I don't.

  • Too bad, nothing on my account (Pick n Save). I am sitting on 16xx points for May and am almost guaranteed to waste 600 since we are not driving much of anywhere these days. Oh well, it is certainly cheaper to be driving less than to be driving more but "saving" money on gas.

  • Unfortunately, the offer doesn't work with Kroger Ship. I've been buying a lot from them stacking 5x on Chase Freedom with 2x Membership Rewards and have accumulated a LOT of Fuel Points, but I'm unable to use them for fuel or converting to a $ off coupon since my nearest Kroger is over 600 miles away.

  • Our offer (Fry's) was for $1.25 per 100 pts - still not as lucrative as getting $0.10 off for a 15 or so gallon fill-up, but gives flexibility if we're at the end of the month and aren't close to an empty tank.

  • I assume this is to compete in the areas with Safeways/Vons/Albertsons/Pavilions. You’ve been able to trade in 100 gas points for $ off or free grocery items for a while
