[Expired][Public Offer] Target.com: Save 10% When You Pay Using Paypal (Max $500 Spend; Stack With 5% Discover; Works On 3p-GC )

Update 8/26/21: Reader seesaw notes that this is actually a public offer by logging into Paypal, going to the Deals tab, and scrolling through the banner ad to find the Target offer which can be saved there. Worked for me that way as well. Updated the link below. Gift cards orders (especially third-party or possibly Visa/eVisa gift cards) are working for many people, see the comments for various data points on what works and best order method. Update 8/29/21: another reader mentioned getting the offer to show after saving a few other useless offers.

Our Verdict

I don’t see this in my PayPal deals, but many others are seeing it (some are only seeing it after checking multiple times). Max this out with a $500 purchase. You can’t use Target REDcard with the PayPal deal; instead use Discover to get 5% back at PayPal this quarter. (Readers in the comments mention a possible alternative to Discover: use the Point debit card for 10% back.)

Lots of people are reporting getting the discount on Target gift cards purchases, but some are saying the order got cancelled and they lost the coupon. Not sure it’s worth using it up on gift cards unless it’s confirmed to be working for that. But it seems to be working for third party gift cards. Readers in the comments report mixed success on Visa gift cards. Also a report of having success when mixing Target gift cards with third party gift cards.

I bought $200 VGC and it was drained via Target. Was it stolen by Target employee?

These VGCs are not accepted by my insurance. Same as it was with the Target MGCs, oh well.

One of my two VGCs was hacked and drained via google play. Now I have to deal with this.

I don’t see the 10% Target offer but luckily had a 10% Walmart offer. Hopefully they don’t cancel the order.

is anyone who haven’t used the target offer seeing that the offer is no longer showing in the saved offers list in the wallet? I guess Paypal killed it prematurely or quota is up!

I did not see it in my offers when this deal was originally posted and checked for it earlier today when doing the Walmart deal but did not see it. Guess I missed the window when it was available for everybody.

Using Paypal definitely triggers more stringent fraud detection, so no, right guy blamed. Plus, if Paypal doesn’t cancel your promos when the shop cancels, it would be no big deal but you do lose them, so yes, blamed the right guy again. Paypal is the real fraud.
