Per a memo sent out to Chase bankers, on June 22, 2025, Chase will be updating a few of their signup bonuses:
- Chase Sapphire Preferred signup bonus will be 75,000 points after $5,000 spend (up from 60,000).
- The Chase United Explorer card signup bonus is going down from 80,000 points to 60,000 points.
- Chase Freedom Unlimited in-branch signup bonus offer for $200 + 5x on Grocery Stores and Gas during the first year of card membership. Limit $12,000 in spend gets the bonus 5x rate.

my bonus went to pending (I completed the required spend) before June 20, however the statement with the bonus didn’t close until july 4. Do I have a chance of getting approved for the sapphire anyways?
Knowing Chase: CSR sub will be $5k for 100k UR pts. And for business CSR something like $8k spend for 100k points, maybe $10k for 120k points.
I always find transferring points to be better than the portal but this will need to be reevaluated.
