Our Verdict

It’s a 20% discount on the $800 in spend. It might be possible to just buy $800 in Delta gift cards and use them up at your own pace – let us know if that works for you (updated: confirmed to work). Could be a gift card reselling play if you have the right selling relationships.

I don’t seem to have gotten it on any cards, unfortunately, but based on reports of others it seems to be available to a lot of people on some cards. My impression is that this offer is found on points-earning personal cards.

  • Sam after you bought $800 Gift Card did you get the credit right away for $160 or just an email saying thanks for using the offer

  • Update for gift cards - i bought one for a friend and it said they couldn't redeem for 3 days. Amex Offer posted immediately though

  • I fly a lot with Delta and had this on 4/8 cards, just logged in and it is gone. I saw them all on my mobile app and was waiting to do the multi-tab trick to add them. That is a bummer.

  • What is "enrolled " Amex card? How do you enroll for this offer ($160.00 back)?

    • You need to find the offer in your Amex login (at the bottom of the page) and click Add. If you weren't targeted with the offer, you won't be able to enroll.

  • 4/6 for my household. Is it possible to get a $320 back on a $1600+ ticket by splitting the payment onto 2 cards?

  • Did not receive on Personal Plat, but received on personal hilton, amex, bcp. Not on biz spg or bb+.

  • 0/4 Plat, PRG, SPG, and SPG Biz. I do put a lot of spend on airlines in general, but haven't booked with Delta on any of these cards.

  • Myself 6/10, and wife 5/9. all on personal cards. Business got none. I can confirm eGC works.
