Our Verdict

Much better than the public 70,000 mile offer (no longer offered). Probably last chance to get a bonus on this card with the Alaskan merger.

Alas, afaict, not targetted despite being a long time barclays card holder (Wyndham (2) & Frontier) Anbody have any luck calling or chatting w/ their barclays card reps to see? (I tried a barely used Frontier card -- and as per usual, had two terrible connections to overseas reps.... polite, but no help)

      I got in scared of Expiration date. I knew I would only have 24 days to meet spend requirements as I applied with no access to my card. I'm in Asia till end of July.
      $2,000 not hard.
      PS. With already banked miles in Hawaiian account . July 2025 for 15,000 miles n $6 I got one way from hnl to Las Vegas. According to my calculations I got over 2 cents per point.

  • You know, when flogging targeted offers that show up via email, it would be helpful to list some basic details - like the email subject line - to help folks find the darn thing. I dunno what your inbox looks like, but my P2 has an inbox filled with tons of junk and finding anything there is a chore.

      • i knew this since i've seen you mention it quite a few times, but might be worth making a section that says "subject line: XYZ" and XYZ can either be the subject line or "unknown"

    • ive given this feedback to doc for the past 10 years. still same.

      wen doc posts something, ur gonna have to check every single life combination of communication channels available to u.

      this means all anus openings on ur body. back of ur ears. up ur neighbors rectum. including their wife. trash cans. txt mssgs, emails, FBI / CIA leaked and declassified letters, new and used condoms, diapers, etc.

      as a last resort, call the bank. tell them a random blog said targeted offer and u wanna know if ur targeted. eg call amex and see if ur targeted for a chase offer.

  • So this requires $4k spend for the full 85k, whereas the 70k only required $1k spend, sometimes no spend?

    I think the 70k deal is better but that's just me
