Bing Rewards Ending Airline & Hotel Transfer Option On October 31st

Bing Rewards lets you earn Bing credits when you use the Bing search engine from Microsoft. It’s currently possible to redeem 400 (385 if you have gold status with Bing) of these credits for 100 miles/points in any of the following airline/hotel loyalty programs:

• American Airlines AAdvantage®
• Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns®
• Hawaiian Airlines® HawaiianMiles®
• Icelandair Saga Club
• IHG® Rewards Club
• LifeMiles
• My BestBuy™ Rewards
• SVM FuelCircle
• Virgin America Elevate
• Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

On October 31st, 2015 Bing rewards is removing this redemption option. This isn’t a big deal because those 400 Bing credits would be worth around $4 in gift card credit, so it’s not good value to redeem for loyalty points anyway – although it was useful for extending the life of loyalty programs with an expiration date.
