Our Verdict

Capital One stopped promoting this card a few years ago in favor of the Spark Cash Plus version. They’ve now quietly brought it back with this $750 signup bonus. The Plus version also has a nice signup bonus currently of $2,000 with $30,000 spend.

This Spark card $750 offer has a lower spend threshold of $7,500 and will be interesting to some. I’d consider signing up for this, but I currently hold the Plus version and I’m not sure if Capital One allows holding more than one business card.

Last we know, this card was not getting reported to the personal credit bureaus. A report indicates that this Spark Cash business card (this non-Plus version) does get reported to the personal bureaus. Capital One pulls all 3 bureaus on applications. Check out these Things To Know about Capital One Credit Cards. We’ll add this to our list of Best Current Credit Card Signup Bonuses.

  • I was pre-approved for a different Spark card - but not specifically THIS spark card. I tried anyway and of course got the "we will send you a letter" message. I've been able to get approved for a maybe a single cap1 card in like a decade

  • @6 - I applied for the above credit card today, and it resulted in a hard enquiry in Transunion and Experian. Unsure of Equifax

  • I did the pre approval check, glad I did. I was not approved, P2 was. Super, extremely annoyed because the credit limit is only $5k which makes this way more complicated, AND I am paying for my fence installation today and the card isn't here. It took them a week just to print the damn thing before they even mailed it, and they didn't offer the card number in advance. I'm going to have to pay with a different card that I'm not even doing a SUB for, which I guess is my own poor planning but still.

SO - DP they are very slow printing the card and will not give you the number on the day you're approved

    • @guest_2058233 does pre approval tool show business cards or only personal cards? Thanks so much!

      • It did work for the business card. It said I would not be approved and P2 would, and he did get approved

        • Interesting, thanks @guest_2075771 . Did p2 have any business accounts with capital one, by chance? I wonder how they would even know to show business cards as I assume most folks using the pre approval tool do not have a business…

          • There is a link specifically to check for business cards, it's there under the offer link. I think he may have had a business checking account with them but I'm not sure

    • @guest_258233 does pre approval tool show business cards or only personal cards? Thanks!

    • Got the SUB today. It posted extremely fast. My final purchase posted in the middle of the night and the bonus was there hours later. I ended up having to do balance transfers onto 0% interest cards and pay the fee because of the low CL. It really sucks but unfortunately this was not a fun churning card it was a "my life is a dumpster fire and I need to recoup some losses" churn

  • DP:

I have the business cash select card from years ago, so I hesitated to apply for this card without knowing whether Capital One allows two business cards with them.

I saw some comments mentioning Capital One's preapproval feature so I decided to give it a try. After entering my information it said I was preapproved. I submitted the application and was instantly approved. Then the system prompted me to link the card to my online profile and I was able to see the card right away.

  • This offer was very smooth. The card took about a week to arrive, I immediately made a single purchase of 7600 to clear the 7500 requirement and within a few days had the bonus credits appear. I was able to immediately use the bonus credit AND the earned points to pay down my balance even though the cycle hasn't ended yet. At the same time, it's at 2% for everything. I was really impressed and am going to switch to this as a main card for a while. See how it goes.

  • Anyone know if its possible to sign up for this card, get the SUB, and then product change to the Spark Cash Select to avoid ever paying the annual fee?
