• Hi Will or Chuck,

  This offer is back....albeit for only 500 miles. Per the email I got this morning:

  "A mileage boost can be yours whether you're at home or on the go. Simply enroll your UnitedSM Chase Visa® Card in United Visa Rewards through the MileagePlus X app and receive 500 bonus miles."

  Offer expires 8/31/20. I didn't get my United Chase Visa card until early 2020 so would not have been targeted for the original offer in January, 2019.

• Thank you! I also had not seen this offer. I have two interesting observations to share, given that my wife and I share a single United Mileage Plus Card (one of us is an Authorized User). We downloaded the app on our individual smartphones and each got the 1000 mile bonus. Hooray!

  The other observation is that the iPhone Mileage Plus X app would not work at all unless I allowed Notifications. The app showed a "Continue" button that did absolutely nothing until I went into Settings and enabled Notifications.

  Sure is nice to get both bonuses, and extend the expiration date. Thanks again!

• FYI - I opened United app and was targeted for a Mileage Play. I am a Silver member with Chase United credit card with annual fee.

• You might want to make this a bit more clear for your readers: it's NOT called "the MPX app". If you search for "MPX", "MPX app", "United MPX", "Chase MPX" etc -- in fact ANYTHING with "MPX" in it -- there will be NO results (at least in Apple's iOS App store).

  The app is called "MileagePlus".

  This will save people 10 minutes of time wasted searching in vain and a lot of head-scratching.
