Note that Wyndham regularly sells points for 0.7-0.8 cents each, so buying at this rate is getting 1 cent/citi point (or less). Could still be worth it if you have a vacasa stay scoped out and need additional points now.
Strata email today, "Current Value for Cash Back: 10,000 ThankYou Rewards Points are redeemable for $100.New Value for Cash Back, effective 08/24/25: 10,000 ThankYou Rewards Points are redeemable for $75."
Don't forget Wyndham has hard expiration policy, have to spend it or all points are lost
Wyndham actually has two expiration policies.
It has an 18-month resettable policy, but a 4-year hard expiration policy.
So depending on how old your points are, doing a transfer might reset the 18-month policy and still have plenty of time from then to your 4-year hard expiration policy.
Plus there's a round-about way with some restrictions on getting around the 4-year expiration. You can transfer 10k points or more, in multiples of 10k, up to I think currently a 60k annual limit, to Caesar's Rewards, and then later transfer them back to Wyndham, where they get a new 4-year expiration. But since the minimum, maximum, and multiples amounts have changed in the past, they might change again. Plus it's just possible this transfer could go away sometime. So it's not necessarily a sure bet, though it has worked for quite a while up to now, except with changing amounts.
excellent news, thanks...... big if though, if you have use for wyndham points..... (Have much enjoyed the vacasa program for many years...... need to update focus to find out what's left of it ??)
Don't forget Wyndham transfers 1:1 to Caesars Rewards
