Just a thought for everyone - I seen Uber rides usually give higher estimates if you have Uber credits remaining in your account. So never keep uber credit balance in your account!
I prefer to take ride first and then redeem/add 1GC worth $50 to my account, and change the payment to credits from credit card (after ride is completed or during the ride). Why should i pay unnecessary higher prices and lose the benefit of costco discount! :D

Do you redeem these right away or save them when are at low balance in uber/eats acocunt? Reason I ask is I have $250 in it now, not sure if its safe to let it sit in email/costco online and redeem later but don't want to take any chance.

For those who get the monthly Uber credits from Amex - do the Amex credits get used ahead of redeemed gift cards?
Yes, but only as long you specify Amex as the card to pay, even if you have more than enough Uber balance to pay for everything and the card will not be used. It will then tell you if the Amex credit is going to be used or not.
thanks, i guess thats the new requirement from nov 2024 ? Meaning the rest of $10 if the purchase is of $12, $2 wil be charged to amex, can't use uber wallet balance.
